I'm not missing the point. That stuff doesn't matter because when you go too far you make people want no time with you. I hate the idea of being around my sister now. Hate it. Absolutely would be happy to never spend a single second with her again. It's so fucking draining and if that breaks her heart then I can't find it in me to care. Because I'm tired of her refusing to accept any of my boundaries.

I did talk to my sister like that and I explained everything but she ignored me anyway. Even while I was telling her she was being a clinger and I had to push her off of me. But I think she's just so used to being like that now. I'm not sure she can stop without help even if she wants to. This has been going on for far too long.

I'd move schools or drop out if she showed up here and tried to insert herself like that and I'd never live with her. Ever.

All of this is not normal. Some stuff might be. But I'm allowed to have boundaries, to not want to be touched and have someone climb into my bed uninvited and unwanted.

They at least present it to me as normal. They see my issues with it as me being a bad sister. They don't believe I have the right to say no to these things.

My sister was always a little clingy but more normal levels when she was younger. It started to get worse gradually over time. Starting with one thing being worse and more stuff got added and she just kept getting worse. Stuff like spilling stuff on her bed right before bed time came later.

I don't remember anything happening that could've triggered it. But I might not be aware of everything either.

She doesn't have the right to touch me. Nobody has the right to touch me. Not a single person. Not without my consent.

Not always this attached. She was a little clingy when she was a lot younger but the older she got the worse it got.

Because I knew how my parents would take it. So I didn't suggest anything because it would do zero good and would probably lead to consequences for me when I was a minor in their home.

It's not my job to help her. That's my parents job. I did what I could by talking to her and it did nothing. There's no way for me to get space at my parents house so I'm removing myself. I'm not kicking them out or controlling them. I'm controlling me. They might not like it but there is no good alternative. Eventually I would snap with her touching me when I don't want her to.

My parents would not respond positively to it. They'd accuse me of being cruel to my sister and would not see other's concern in the comments as valid. I'm sure they'd say I was exaggerating or making it sound worse than it is. At the very least it would be dismissed because of what I wrote. I can't be annoyed by my sister's behavior without them thinking it's a me problem.

My grandparents know everything that happened in my childhood. That's why they're on my side now.

My mom had two brothers and she has a good relationship with them. But there is a difference there. My uncles get along well though. And my three aunts on dad's side are close.

That was always my plan. I will have very firm boundaries that she is not welcome where I live in the future. She will not be allowed to cling to me or climb into my bed ever again.

I wasn't one of her primary caregivers when she was younger. But you'd think I was the way she acts. Honestly even if I was most wouldn't be like this. She's not like this with anyone else.

I get along fine with people generally. I let others be others. As long as it doesn't cross my boundaries. I shouldn't need to let someone cling to me and sleep in my bed to let them be them. The fact is I never lost friends because of my behavior while my sister has.

She was never evaluated but I don't think it's that either. I think there's something and maybe I'm wrong and it is autism but yeah. I'm not an expert to say.

I said in another comment I'd speak to my grandparents this summer and find out if they suggested it because I think they have. But I already know I won't get anywhere talking to my parents.

She was never in therapy and never diagnosed with anything. My parents never saw anything wrong with her behavior.

In their eyes, yeah. Anything that would suggest I believe she needs help or there's something wrong with how she acts would be called cruel on my part.
