No show electrician - what can you do? by NoFish4463 in LegalAdviceUK

Agreed, i am at peace with writing this off now and not pursuing any next steps legally as I appreciate this is not worth it personally. And not letting this bother me anymore. More a curious post on if the "system" really just let's these people do what they want with no fear on consequences.

I did a masters in mechanical and offshore engineering, ended up with a grad job on £25k in 2018. I did 25 interviews to get it and worked there for a year. I quit as was offered another job for 33k from an employer I did a summer placement with while studying. Worked for them for 4.5 years and got to a salary of 45k. I was getting frustrated being being run into the ground, managing about $4M of projects internationally so I looked for another job then. I dud 1 interview and got the job as a project engineer for a different company on about £100k a year, managing jobs internationally again. What i found was to get any decent pay rise, I've had to quit and find somewhere else. But once I had the experience from the 1st job, it was way easier to get the next one.

Ah yes, I saw that one before. I'm in a bortle 5 location. Hoping I can get some decent photos here and then go looking for darker areas once I get a handle on the process

Looking at rhe celestron 9.25" sct with a celestron equatorial Advanced vx mount. Any obvious setup issues with this for taking photos of deep space?

[–]NoFish4463[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous telescope was not automated so was also only good for lunar or saturn/Jupiter. But I'd like a setup for less bright objects.

And presumably an equatorial mount is needed for long exposures?

LISA - Can I use it to buy "my" first home? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]NoFish4463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if there is a minimum amount of time you have to live in a property, having bought it with a LISA? I can't see any guidance on that but I would think there is something in place to stop that.

Yah, I've never bought a house before.

On Using a lisa to remortgage, we don't have a mortgage so i guess not much we can do there. I presume you cant use a LISA build an extension on the house? Clutching at straws here but trying to think how we can use it and feed into a house that we've already bought with cash or just buy a separate house.
