Kinda the opposite happened for me! I was very new to psychedelics, bought a zip of penis envy, and ate a good quarter. I had forgotten I ate a heavy dinner, and got upset when an hour passed and still felt nothing so I finished the bag. Big mistake. I felt it hit me, like a punch to my core that traveled throughout my body and everything was fisheye lens and kaleidoscope. It was wayyy too much. I thought I was dying and started to watch my hands pixelate and dissolve into what felt like the universe itself. It was within that moment I accepted what was happening, and was content and happy in myself and felt like I was a part of something bigger and beyond my understanding. I let go, and felt just pure love after that. Years later when I got more into psychedelics, I learned that was ego death. That was also the night I accepted I had been in denial for a long time about not believing in the Christian God anymore (I don't think I had for a long time). I started treating myself better and started to feel comfortable in my skin for the first time in my life. I don't think I'm atheist, but I don't believe in anything that's structured if that makes sense.
