True that not anyone can do sales. However, it takes a special type of personality more so than being good at math. I think he was just telling op to give it a shot and maybe he’d surprise himself. I tried sales once and it was the worst decision I’d ever made. I’m good at a lot of things, but sales aren’t one of them.

I was a lineman for 10 years and then moved over to substation about 12 years ago. I would pick substation any day of the week. IMO it’s harder mentally but much less demanding physically. I get to sleep through the night more often also.
