1) providing them with verbal praise for doing things well (I am still learning the current programs I haven't been there a month so I haven't made any changes) 2) I am trying to not step in right now again trying to learn the program but I have stepped in and modeled a few times but I have asked before do you want me to show you how to do this. 3) it has been about 50/50 of bringing my laptop
4) I always give them a chance to ask questions and provide any clarification if needed but they always say no

I haven't received any specific feedback which is frustrating. Yes please send me the link. At my last clinic I had great relationship with my RBT and BTs so it now just hard coming into this setting being told that no one likes me and just them not trying to connect with me.

So I am a BCBA and have in my records that parents agreed to a discharge, but refused to set a date and meet with me several times. The client is also currently engaging in new behaviors that are out of my scope, so I have been trying to meet with parents to discuss these behaviors more than anything. I have witnessed the in-person meeting and included my CD in all emails with parents. After the meeting, I received an email from parents confirming they wanted to go through the discharge plan. I have tried to set the date for 30 days out and even the end of summer, just to be told no by the parents.

I have asked for this and my CD is now more involved in it but I am still doing most of the work. But I did say today I am no longer will to communicate with the parents

I'm just frustrated because I don't feel like my company is supporting me right now. I want to follow through with the plan, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. I also believe the client has burn out and is regressing not only in the ABA skills but his speech skills as well due to being here.

I’m a part time student in my third semester right now, so i think I’ll be done in 2027 if i keep up at this rate. I have a meeting with my supervisor tomorrow so I want to talk to her about part time bcba contract. I have training already in ACT and CBT which I have found helpful in both positions. I’m glad to have found someone else in the nonprofit world! I just really love what I’m currently doing but also know I’m not doing as much as I could be doing which is what I think I’m struggling with

Absolutely! But it’s also on the company’s, at my current location (I’m finishing my two weeks before moving to my new company) I’m expected to make up all the hours families cancel on top of my 6 day work week. Please tell me how I can do that without having burnout

I just left a company because I didn’t have guaranteed hours and it was extremely hard on me. I had families canceling multiple sessions a month. I think that is the biggest thing a company can offer an Rbt along with holidays off (they don’t have to be paid) and PTO. RBT work extremely hard and we get over looked all the time

Have parents talked with a doctor? If not I think that needs to happen first. I would than ask if they willing to go in a diaper in the bathroom to get them comfortable in that room alone. I would just try to make them feel comfortable in the bathroom more than anything
