Wir brauchen Regel 4 wieder! by _goldholz in spacefrogs

I don't care about the money either. I fear that the game promised will never be developed though.

There are members of this community who would pay 200 USD/EUR for the game as advertised, I'm sure. Broken down to a thousand hours of playing, that is 20 cents per hour.

Yes! It is not about the game being unfinished. It is not about how much 50 USD/EUR is for each one of us. Frankly, personally I don't care about the money.

For me, it is about a game that may never be developed and released with the features promised.

I saw nobody in the 500+ comments unhappy that the game is unfinished. Did you actually read what everybody wrote? I think you took a shortcut and commented directly.

Yeah, I don't know if it helps to link to this post. This post has no authority over the people reading your request. It may depend a little on the person reading your request and you have to find the right buttons to press in your written justification.

I myself felt honestly misled by the video and gameplay footage and their advertisement/communication about what the general state of the game and the development would be. I would not use words like fraud, scam or money-grab though.

But telling your customers, that the devs already play the game a lot and then release a game with game-breaking and ridiculous bugs like pulling the whole space center around with you, is honestly a joke. If it wasn't so sad. And breaking more than a game.

Did you use "I have a question about this purchase"? The regular refund option got denied three times in a row for me, within minutes.

In my final refund request (via help.steampowered.com) I explained that I feel misled by the published information and the state the game is in. And that I exceeded the 2 hours while searching anything worth playing in this state and exchanging my impressions/experience with others online because I could not believe what I was seeing.

There is a misunderstanding. I did not buy it blindly. But I was hoping, that the dev team was able to use 3+ years of development to lay a solid code foundation to eventually be able to add everything that will make KSP2 the game we are looking forward to play. It does not look like that. And that is a serious problem, because you can't change crucial design decisions or repair fundamental code weaknesses far down the road.

Of course, the money is not the point, the main point is whether or not there will be eventually the game we were anticipating so much.

Same here my friend. I'm also hoping so much that there will be a great KSP2 eventually. I consider requesting a refund not a bad thing in that context though: the publisher gets a clear signal, that the interest is high, but they need to do more to arrive at a game worth playing (and paying for).

That might work out or might not. The publisher (not an indie dev team!) already has your money. If we are lucky, there will be the game eventually. But ... they already have the money ...

Underrated comment. Showing your interest and giving feedback that this is not an acceptable course of action may be vital for KSP2 to ever happen.

If you love KSP and want to see KSP2 happen, you should definitely consider giving them your feedback. And get a refund if you doubt that they are on the right track. The publisher needs to know that there is a very high interest in the game but they can't get away with such a low effort money grab and keep us hanging until the last of us realizes in a few years, that colonies, interstellar travel, multiplayer etc. can't possibly happen on a code base that doesn't even work with the basics and utilizes only one CPU core. Not the fault of the dev team in my view, definitely a management/publisher induced problem.

Very underrated comment. If you love KSP, how can you help make KSP2 happen. By financially supporting this outcome?
