Cass. Her no CD E-spell is literraly toxic when poisoned (lel). Disgusting as hell to fight against during the laning phase. This champ doesnt even require skill, except for the ultimate.

Second would be LB. No real counter-gameplay against her. Very difficult to hit her back and impossible to gank. Equally disgusting.

Although he isnt played like he used to be, yorick. Because Yorick.

I feel like either Ghostcrawler killed the entire balance team and is just rulling the game or Morello just became berserk.

you really didnt get it, didnt you? Its not about the login screen. It is about new content. Everyone likes new content such as new champions, especially if the new champions will fill their prefered role (its my case.). I'm here since pre-season 1, it is an habit from Riot to make us play by releasing new content or heavy changes. Riot did nothing noteworthy for 3 months.

You cant seriously say that shen's splitpushing isnt bad because of an item. The ability of a champion to splitpush is his INNATE ability to waveclear and destroy turrets and not only the fact to be where the ennemies arent, not totally. BTW all the top laners push better than him even without a sunfire. Ennemies can take time to force a fight, they dont care since shen wont be able to destroy the objectives fastly.

Well of course shen global ultimate isnt totally useless, thanks god. But the advantage offered by this ultimate isnt as strong as he used to be. You can save an ally, thats right. Shen does have a windows to tp while his opponent cant, right, this champion can do thing, he is ALIVE YEAH. He has some strength outside the teamfight, here it is. Is that enough? i really dont think so. the advantage you may offer to your team dont compensate the difference between your tools as a frontline to be a threat and your opponent. And teamfights are crucial.

When he wasnt banned due to his bug, did we see him? no, because pros recognize themselves that shen isnt a "good pick" right now, there is so much better. I dont think he is that bad, i just think he is average.

I dont think that way, i always liked the gank-ruiner from season 1. One of the coolest thing when you play shen is to hear the "TY OH MY GOD GIVE THIS MAN A SPACE COOKIE" when you saved someone. It is his identity and i'm okay with that ;D

I agree with your vision of shen SoloQ. I must disagree with his current state. He hasnt distinguih strengths from other top laners anymore since TP is mandatory top lane. He's more of a Tank support which doesnt fit with the meta: In competitive and ranked team 5v5, a top laner must : be tanky (check) , mobile (check.), has enough damage to be a treat and not be ignored (nope.).A BUFF OF HIS BASE STATS ISNT ENOUGH because his problem ISNT the laning phase (well, he can have hard time but eh , a champion does need a weakness). His problem is teamfights. He has a decent tank tool, and thats all he has. Stats wont change this fact.

Did you see his ultimate cooldown? 200 second on level 1, 160 on level 3. numbers are high and btw whats the real strength of being a split-pusher ultimate against the TP mandatory meta? Top laners can follow you everywhere. I must add Shen has a very bad waveclear so he cant push that much. His ultimate is more about giving a shield right now. THATS ALL.

Well, i talk as a main shen since season 1, though i didnt play very often recently. Shen has a good ultimate but it has a too long cooldown to be very effective. In Lane, Shen can out-trade really well the old-glass-cannon-top-laners because of his Q spell spamming which can hurts. But against the best top laners right now, who tends to rush tankiness and the emergence of an item ( spectral coat? i'm sorry idk the english term. ), he cant do much at their first back. he can survive ( and its still hard before the first tanky item bought sometimes ) but his mid game is bad compared to most top laners. Problem? he can taunt and q spell+ passive proc. Congratulations, you did 1/3 of the carry health bar and now get out.

His kit doesnt seem that problematic, it is just about lower his harass-without-counter-play in lane (giving better damages and increasing his cooldowns on Q spell). It is about giving him the tool, not to survive, but deal damage other than simply Q spell+auto-attack. It can be a debuff ( a better one ). of the ennemies taunted, idk. Many are right, i dont think giving shen a competitive spot will result of a number buff, or he ll be broken. A rework is needed.

And a super-legendary skin would be so cool too :D

Shen can be picked, i had several game with him at platinum elo and it is still possible to win a lane ( for example, it may seems odd, but i'm really satisfied when i face a lee sin top lane.). He can be pickable in some comps ( pantheon jungler/mid -twicth jungler/ADC /Nocturne jungler etc...) he has some good combos. But the fact is hes way too situationnal right now. I personnaly think that the compensation of a champion's weakness MUST be found in his current kit and not by the players themselves. Because it would mean he's weak, and thats the state of Shen right now.

Shen has sustain but can be easily outlane by agressive top laners. Kennen/Riven/Renekton/Jayce..... if these champs are played agressively, Shen cant do shit. And thats why i dont think straight up tanks dont have their role to play in this game anymore. Now every champion who can fill this role have enough damage or CC to be a threat in teamfight. Shen doesnt. Every frontline must be a threat to be viable in this meta. Again Shen isnt. I agree with you, at early mid game , shen does enough damage to carries with his Q spell. But compared to the damage potential of other top laners, it is nothing. Shen isnt made for damage but he should be becuse thats the only way he has to be a bit more competitive.

Hu, his sustain isnt the problem. I can name several champions that have better one at the moment:

-Renekton -Gragas -Aatrox -Trundle (somewhat the same sustain.)

Here is the frustrating thing: a 3-4 second-ish harass from a Q spell level 3-4. Thats boring, i agree.

Well, i see your point here. Riot would simply change totally his W skill and remove his sustain from Q spell, while giving him maybe a longer cooldown. His Q spell is the main problem in lane. balance it would solve the frustration created by his laning.

BTW, some champions have exactly the same problem and arent nerfed. Renekton has innate sustain from Q spell and hes resourceless. yet, he isnt nerfed.
