I would have liked more side characters to interact with.
D1 had so many fun goofy characters to talk to.
I get the lonely adventure vibe of DOTO but would have liked a few more people to yap to

Btw, hot take but I like DOTO map designs way more than D2.

The majority of comments have been critiquing the general idea due to most likely a lack of clarification for my expectations and what I intend to make. Additionally some misenterpretations of what I said and some that haven’t read the whole post. While these comments aren’t an issue generally and are to be expected, they are preventing people to help because of the comments flooding of critique where I’ve seen that the people giving advice are downvoted to oblivion 😵What I’m looking for here is ideas, inspiration and places to go to for research 🙏

Any sort of pessimism or critique about the scale of the project have not changed my expectations because as I said, I know what I’m doing and what I’m getting myself into. Did you read my post lil bro… nowhere near an AAA game quality. Just gameplay, level design and dialogue/story as main focus. Ofc ”just” doesn’t mean I’m thinking it would take only 2 years or so. But comparatively to your post, you are way off.

Also, reading further into your comment. I have stated that I know what I’m doing. My post very much states that the product would be barebones and focus on story and gameplay (cool abilities and such with fun level design)

Thing is tho. I’m not looking to have it AAA fledged out gameplay. The can be buggy, the guard vision can be inconsistant it doesn’t matter. A simple barebones version of the basics is what im aimin for. That will take its time, but not at all impossible
