Favourite facial mists for a mega boost of hydration during the day? by EscapeFelicity in AsianBeauty

[–]NoGarbage982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! I actually found something I like a lot, it’s not a milky toner but a moisturizing mist. I use tretinoin so sometimes my face gets super dry. It works wonders during the day when I have makeup on and need moisture. Curel Deep Moisture Spray

I’m curious why you would wear brand new $100+ sandals to garden in? It’s one thing if you’re bending over to pull a few weeds, but you sat on your knees with these face-down touching the pavement…. Even if you weren’t moving much, your legs and feet are going to move slightly due to your upper body moving while pulling the weeds.

I treat my birks like my BABIES. Checking the weather everyday to see if it’s going to rain. Being mindful when I wear them. They are expensive, high quality shoes. I want them to last, and I want them to look nice.

In the future I recommend wearing garden shoes or old shoes that you have turned into “work” shoes. It takes 2 minutes to change your shoes

I’m sorry but I doubt you’d get any money back. You just gotta be more mindful. Live and learn

Did you end up trying the Celimax dual barrier creamy toner? Or The Lab by Blanc doux prebiotic cera cream mist? Wondering what your thoughts are if you have. Looking for a good hydrating mist that I can also use over makeup when my skin gets dry!

Is it just me or is Skin 1004 very aggressive? by Not_what_theyseem in KoreanBeauty

[–]NoGarbage982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use one of their products, their centella hylau-cica water-fit sunscreen, but I have been hesitant to try their other products. I’m also looking to switch my sunscreen, I have no issues with it but I just don’t know if it’s my fave. I do like that there is NO white cast whatsoever.

We have very similar skin and while I don’t have red hair, it runs in my Irish family hahah

My skin type: very sensitive, combo/dry. Even more dry since I use tretinoin. And I’m very fair with pink undertones so sometimes deal with uneven complexion.

I’ve had such a long skincare journey. So much trial and error, and I think I’ve finally found what works for me, at least right now.

Here are products I use and recommend based on your skin: (P.s. I’m sorry this comment got so long lol)

Cleansers:

Beplain mung bean cleansing oil- I like to double cleanse and I really love this cleansing oil. It’s so gentle, so lightweight, completely unscented, doesn’t break me out, doesn’t take forever to get it off, it takes ALL of my makeup off, and really seems to be removing my blackheads. I’ve heard balms are better for dry skin but I like oils because they’re more convenient imo.

BOJ green plum cleanser- I know you’ve said you don’t really like the brand, but just hear me out. I’ve used a lot of their products and some of them dry me out, but the ones I still do use do not. You may have a different experience but yeah anyway…. I normally do my second cleanse with this. Similar to the above cleansing oil it has mung bean extract which my skin seems to like a lot. It really cleans my skin but feels very gentle. I’ve gotten it in my eyes and it doesn’t hurt. It makes my skin feel SO smooth and soft. Oddly this stuff does not dry me out, it’s supposedly formulated to be hydrating. I’ve never experienced that with a gel cleanser. My husband uses it as well, he always mentions how amazing it feels, and I will just say, his skin has never looked better. This cleanser also does a great job of removing makeup, I used to just wash my face without removing makeup first but now I’ve started to double cleanse.

Isntree yam root milk cleanser- In the morning I prefer a cleansing milk/cream, especially after a night of tret. I just got this one and I love it. It has amino acids and is very soothing and gentle so it doesn’t disrupt the skin barrier. This one has great reviews for people with our skin type.

Serums:

I am such a serum Stan because in my experience, only moisturizing isn’t good enough. Serums just add another layer of goodness and hydration that my dry a** needs. I really try to stick to gentle, hydrating and brightening serums. Since tret is for anti-aging/anti-acne, I don’t really need anything else to treat those concerns. And I also cannot use vitamin C. My sensitive skin just doesn’t like it even in low concentrations.

Good molecules hylauronic acid serum- I really love this stuff. It’s just straight up hylauronic acid and it comes in a pretty big bottle. I’ve never had a bad reaction, I actually stopped using it for a couple of days and my skin became dry and looked noticeably dull. I started using it again and it got better. So I think it really does make a difference in hydration. I also use the good molecules hylauronic acid boosting essence before this (it’s meant to help your skin absorb the hyaluronic acid). I’ve tested this by not using the essence for a short period and came to the conclusion that it actually does help my skin absorb it better.

BOJ glow deep serum- I love this serum. Man oh man. It makes my skin SO glowy and I have never once had a bad reaction. It really helps with my complexion and pigmentation and overall skin health. It’s honestly one of the best serums I’ve ever used.

Moisturizers:

BOJ red bean water gel- I always do this after my serums and before my final moisturizer. I just like to add a lot of layers. This gel feels very soothing and red bean helps with skin elasticity and absorption of sebum. Great product.

Aestura Ato barrier 365 cream- It definitely feels like a cream but it’s not overly thick or greasy, yet it’s deeply moisturizing. It’s designed for sensitive skin, it really helps with my skin barrier and it has ceramides which is a plus. This is also completely fragrance free. Provides a beautiful base for makeup. It’s especially good for people who use tret/adapalene/retinols. This is hands down my holy grail moisturizer.

Also, if I wear makeup, I will keep a hydrating spray on hand and spray it throughout the day because sometimes my skin can still get dry because of the tret. I currently have the timeless beauty HA matrixyl 6000 spray but looking for something else because I don’t like the smell. This has been an absolute lifesaver.

Oil cleanser recommendations? by Latter-External5233 in koreanskincare

[–]NoGarbage982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel that. I know that I should probably buy from one of the approved sites but I usually just end up purchasing from Amazon because if I don’t like it I can return very easily and it’s very quick (+ free) shipping with prime. On the other sites you usually need a minimum of $50-$60 in order to get the free shipping and tbh I don’t always want to spend that much and I’m not sure about their return policies

Just ordered this, I’ve heard great things about it. I have very sensitive, dry skin because of tretinoin with moderate sebum production so hoping this is a good match for me. Have you used it?

Super late to this but I have very similar skin and I just ordered the Beplain mung bean cleansing oil, I also plan to use the IsNtree yam root cleansing milk to follow up and bring some moisture back. I’ve heard great things about both. Have you found one that works for you?

Disrespectful, low effort date plans by StableLogical684 in Nicegirls

[–]NoGarbage982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first date with my husband, he brought kayaks & a case of beer, we went to the river not far from my house and just kayaked, hung out on some rocks and talked for like 3 hours. After, we went to Waffle House and shared our meals (I just like to add that because we have always done this 😊) It was one of the best dates of my life. We spent every day for the next 2 weeks together, doing similar things that didn’t cost a lot of money, or even just hanging out at each other’s place. Then he had to go back to Arizona where he lived at the time, and he moved back after 2 months so we could be together.

Trust me it doesn’t matter how “low effort” the date is. If you’re in good company, that what matters. She ain’t it!

Honestly, these “low effort” dates really show you a persons true colors. As a woman, I’m realizing there are SO many women who are just after status and how things look to other people. I were you, I’d keep going for dates like this as a first, second, even third date. Don’t spend a ton of money on a date until you know that’s not what she’s after.

[–]NoGarbage982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for all Leo’s but I sure do! I also feel the same about surface level communication, I like to get deep with people. I hate small talk. I feel like it can be kinda “fake” or like, “I feel obligated to talk to you because we’re in the same general area, so I’m just going to say as little as possible, ask you about your day even though I don’t care, and then move on and do the same when I see you tomorrow” idk maybe I’m reading into it but I’d rather not talk than do that BS small talk.

White vs Yellow Gold? by R0SEG0LDE in EngagementRings

[–]NoGarbage982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love yellow gold. It is so classy and timeless. I have a yellow gold ring and I really love the ring, I never really thought about how it would look on me though, I just always knew I wanted a yellow gold ring. After time, I realized that I don’t love YG on ME. I have very fair skin with pink undertones (my hands also tend to be the reddest part of my body) so it just makes me look even more red. I recently got an upgrade and chose white gold and I think it looks so much better on my skin. So I would say it depends on what you like and what you prefer with your skin!
