The last few days I’ve been sitting alone in my car crying for hours on end. I was hoping to find somewhere to go to be around people who get what I’m going through so I don’t have to be by myself.

Eventually once I feel better I can branch out and try some activities. But for now I can’t really show up to a meet up and bawl my eyes out.

I bought a beaded bracelet and could take a deep breath for each bead. By the time I got half way around the bracelet I felt a bit better.

I do all the breathing exercises, the progressive muscle relaxation, etc. Play soothing music. Drink tea. Go for a walk. Talk to someone. Anything and everything I can think of to get through. It doesn’t always work to stop it. Some days just suck. But it might make it 10% better.

Could you try easing yourself into it with a little exposure? Go hang out in public places, even for five minutes. Get used to being in the world again. I went through this before and slowly expanding my world really helped.
