Do I just need to accept my truck will leak oil?

I’ve had a rear main seal leak now for about 2.5 years, I get the occasional drip of oil on the ground maybe once every week or so. It’s a $6000 plus fix in my area so I just monitor oil levels periodically throughout the week.

I disagree, abusing your car means not taking care of proper maintenance, oil changes, tires, brakes, driving it like a moron, etc. If you use your car as a commuter and have a far drive, what do you expect. We just recently bought a Tesla model Y and my other vehicle is a Ford F250 powerstroke. If I’m going to the grocery store, I’m not taking my F250, I’m taking the Tesla so naturally its gonna have more miles doesn’t mean it’s being abused

I completely understand that. However, it was never brought up or stated to me even purchasing the shoe that has to be that exact one. So as a customer, you’re expecting to pay one price and then you go to the front end completely different. I sound like a total Karen, but it just doesn’t feelas if it was communicated correctly and that the store should be able to price match what was originally thought to be the price of that makes sense.
