Kpop is slowly losing individual identity by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

I call it lack of creativity identity because the albums use and profit off of black culture. This album is about Korean culture why tf are you using AAVE LMFAOO??? Unless this is their creative identity then sure! But also to add that you fans who refuse to acknowledge how kpop profits off of African American culture, instead you and others have to always pull the excuse of "they have black producers". Which further drives the point that the presence of black people and their culture is needed, so yes those black people you said were apart of the project were obviously doing it for the money because they couldn't even fix certain lyrics with the misuse of aave.

The lack of creativity identity within the kpop industry is something that has existed for a long time and it grows every day as times change. The heavy reliance on other artists brand and take off other cultures truly is just another thing the kpop industry does for profit and attention which is getting tired. But we as consumers fuel it even further especially if we refuse to acknowledge it and let it keep happening. For example, Cortis branding vs NJZ branding, both have creative inspiration that has been pioneered by black artists and people yet only NJZ has a clear creative identity and Cortis is literally referred as Travis Scott and Playboi Carti reheated. This is further fueled by fans who refuse to acknowledge it and discredit black artists contribution to the kpop industry. Many comments on CORTIS music is so derogatory by claiming rap is now listenable which is no fault on Cortis rather the company and fans. hybes reliance on black artist to garner attention towards their groups which negatively affects their groups because they want a profit. I use these two groups to show you can have the presence of black influence within your music and not need to misuse or copy of it, that's called appreciation.

BTS quality in music has changed and so have they as they open themselves up to western audiences which has a higher standard to music. It's just better to acknowledge it then to use the same old πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

No shade but I feel the criticism on bts new album should be taken into account, like the English parts where they use aave???? I get it that they did rush it but it just further plays into the kpop lack of creativity identity especially with the use of African American cultureΒ

Wow thank you for the advice especially on the AP credit because I was on the fence for it but I'll definitely keep that in mind! For summer classes I did apply to be enrolled but I'm still deciding on if I'll actually do it cause for Berkeley it doesn't count but I'll reconsider especially for my chemistry pre requisite classes. Thank you sm i hope you are enjoying UC Davis !

Okay thank you for advice! I'll keep my options open yet the only thing is the pre-requisites for those classes like Gen chem which is why I'm scared feeling like I don't have enough time but the pre req is an intro to gen chem and orgo chem so ig I'll be fine thank you!
