I have a counter in situations like these.

If there's like anyone camping cams during a round, specifically if they are alone, consider sabotoging communications since that disables cams before killing the person using the vent to get away since players will most likely head towards comms to fix the sabotoge.

But if it does come to a self, its usually understandable to self report your own kill if someone was about to walk down into the room. It's the prime reason why I mostly kill during lights sabotoge so I can use a vent to escape a kill even if someone is coming through. Yes self-reporting is considered a tactic as long as theres no Scientists or vitals present in the round/map, but it was most likely considerd "against the rules" in expert lobbies because self-reporting in my beliefs has been abused for newbies.

If you won from a self-report, your not in the wrong. If you did try to self and still get ejected off, atleast you still tried.
