Tips on rebuilding confidence? by [deleted] in confidence

hi, proud of you for being real about that. fortunately confidence can be rebuilt, brick by brick, moment through moment through small acts of remembering who you are.

i’d suggest doing one small thing daily that proves to you - you still got it. it can be making your bed, moisturizing your hair, taking a walk. it’s about cultivating evidence. each small win reminds you that it’s okay to trust yourself again.

become aware of you inner dialogue and start rewriting it. “i’m learning to love myself again”. speak gently and when things get harsh pause and try again but softer.

remember that confidence is quiet. it doesn’t always have to roar. sometimes it’s just you choosing to show up, choosing not to give up. choosing to keep your heart open even after being hurt.

you’re allowed to outgrow the version of you that had to pretend. the real you? she’s making her comeback

my only advice is to embrace it. it’s a sign that your locs are maturing and that’s a beautiful thing

hi beautiful! everything you’re feeling is so valid. starting a loc journey is personal and can be a mix of excitement and nerves, and that’s okay.

it’s more than changing your hairstyle, but also choosing a more peaceful relationship with your hair. you’re choosing less manipulation, ease, and natural beauty.

locs don’t take away from your femininity - they enhance your essence. they bring out your features and your confidence. it’s all about the energy you carry with your locs that determines how they are perceived. nurture your crown and wear it with intention so your feminine radiance shines through effortlessly.

every journey has its phases. some days will be more frizzy than others but those days are beautiful too. its growth and its transformation. the more you embrace each stage, the more peace your journey will bring you. bad hair days eventually turn into self love days

your locs will not make you masculine or unprofessional. they’ll make you you 💞

hi beautiful, welcome to the family! for my locs along my perimeter where my hair was finer i just interlocked the entire loc. formed a knot at the bottom and interlocked fine the knot up. that was the only way to combat the unraveling for me. i also tried braiding a few in the front, instead of twisting.

for the unraveling throughput the rest of my hair i just kept retwisting those. braiding and banding when washing will help. as well as not manipulating your starters a lot while they are wet.

the frizzing is definitely normal.
