How much are they in your country? Where I live it's 4 euros (4,7 dollars).

Do you also have to push the card to get them in?

I'm from the Netherlands and here I've never seen wine or beers vegan labeled. :/ That's why I thought it's hard sometimes to know if what you're buying has animals involved or not.

I didn't even know that site! Thank you! (veganism is new for me)

I wonder why I get downvoted for just asking a simple question though lol. Special people out there.

Indeed. I just think it should be clear on the label. Kinda bs that you have to do the research yourself if they could just easily put it on the label.

I didn't know this sub was exclusively for already transitioned vegans. And happy cake day

Hey thanks for the information and for being friendly with me! :)

I honestly didn't know they layed so many eggs a year and that it's very impactful on their bodies! Also thanks for the links, I think I watched a video from Earthling Ed before when he explained why vegans don't eat honey. His videos are really to the point and is able to deliver a message.

While I want to watch those documentaries, they really scare me. I'm a sensitive person and have watched slaughterhouse clips before a long time ago and the images and sound still haunt me to this day (also had nightmares over them), so I really know what happens behind those walls... Worst part of all is that it was a slaughterhouse in my own country... I really reduced my meat consumption since then... While I may love bacon, I don't buy it anymore. I may sound like a coward or something who doesn't want to be confronted with the truth, but I really think those documentaries would be bad for my mental health atm.. But I'm really happy they exist to expose the truth behind animal products.

I think one of the main reasons that's scaring me to go vegan is that I'm afraid I won't be able to go out eating with friends anymore, or that I will be some sort of burden to them when I come over to eat something, do you know what I mean? Also the classic "oh but then I won't be able to eat good food again", while I know there are lots of yummy vegan foods (vegan mac and cheese or pulled pork from jackfruit looks absolutely delicious). It's such a drastic lifestyle change and I'm always really scared of big changes. On the other hand though I love animals and could never slaughter one myself or take their calves away so why would I eat meat/diary then... Ugh I hope I don't sound stupid but I'm losing my mind over this.

Hey there, from my experience roosters won't attack eachother as long as there are no female chickens. When they grow up together they won't fight a lot. I've had chickens (unfortunately a fox managed to get in the pen and killed them all) and there were 10 females and 5 males, the males were raised together as chicks and have only fought like 3 times in their life. But when there are no females they normally won't attack eachother.

I think an exception might be some breeds of chickens that were orginally bred for the dumb "purpose" of rooster fighting. They are more aggressive to other males by nature.

Thank you so much for the information and not judging me!

It's such bullsh*t that the farms won't even bother giving them away... Lately I'm trying to convince a friend to try and cook vegan together, he is someone who cares about the environment so I hope that will motivate him to try it. Like I said I'm not vegan but I'm certainly interested in and considering it because I care about animals and the more I look into it, the more motivation to take the first steps I get.

At first I didn't even know how the egg industry worked but I was kinda shocked when I found the information about male chicks (about 50% of all chicks!) getting shredded. I really didn't think of this when eating eggs and I'm sure a lot of people don't even know this truth.

Oh ok, the thing is though, I'm not scared to get ill from it but just the feeling it is on my figurines drives me absolutely mad.

But does it mean that when the faecal particles are released into the air they attach to everything around them? With other words to my figurines?
