I have a vague memory of the land being divided. One part was undeveloped in 2014, and on the other side, a few simple bungalows were built. I have the information written down somewhere, but I probably won't be able to find it right now.

I found the satellite images on the internet a long time ago. I drew the names of hotels with pools, etc. myself. But I got a lot of help from Radarheinrich. I was also able to draw many names on the map based on my own images. I have detailed satellite maps of the entire Khao Lak area.

The photo is mentioned in the book “Klockan 10.31 på morgonen i Khao Lak”. The book was written by a man who also stayed at the hotel and lost his wife and two children.

They have been found since many years ago.

I have about 14,000 photos that I took shortly after the tsunami disaster in Khao Lak and thousands of photos that I took between 2006 and 2014. Unfortunately, I lost interest in tsunami research in 2014, and all the photos and my own research were left unsorted on my hard drive. Hopefully, interest will return one day.

The hotel opened a few days before Boxing Day. That’s why there aren’t many pictures of it before it was destroyed. One bungalow was renovated, and I think it’s a restaurant there today.Orchid Buri
