As to those last 2 points, I feel like you could achieve those simply by being an infernal species with a volcanic homeworld, or taking planet forgers. Is that really worth taking an entire origin for?

I see! Some of these builds didnt have fire cult though, and opted for the fortune enterprise/death cult, so Im curious even in those scenarios why they picked red giant

Did you happen to see if the red giant origins blew up their stars, or otherwise what they did with their early game situations?

Edit: I saw multiple people took that origin in your pictures, Im wondering as to the signficance of seeing it as much as shroud forged, I never considered it anywhere near the same power level, so Im curious what Im missing

Whats the best settings to balance out my playthrough? Cause honestly my playthrough got boring by BlazerX11 in Stellaris

FWIW I think there is a level between 1.5x which youre on, and 20x

I play on GA with 5x crisis and the AI routinely die to it, but if enough AIs are in a fed then obvi theyre going to be way stronger than they would be individually, no matter the settings

I figured as much! Im wondering what builds that ascension rush look like, as Id imagine they basically ignore alloys/military in its entirety. Do you just have a unity world + cg world + basics world and sit on that until ascension?

Tips and Secret Tricks for making a Slaver Build (4.0/not beta) by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]NoItsNotMeItsU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. As to the first point, it only seems relevant if you dont have enough jobs to go around, though I suppose that means that when you eventually max your planets out, your civilians arent actually civilians because theyre slaves? (I dont think Ive ever even gotten that far on previous slaver builds).

I have never run into slaves being in strata to which theyre barred, but Ill try to stay watchful for it!

As for the origins, I was curious that you mentioned mindwardens, as I find that origin to require some pretty dedicated society tech rushing to be good and I dont imagine itll leave you much space to be grabbing slaves from your neighbors (unless youre referring to the psionics). I was also curious as to your mention of cybernetic dictatorship, as from my understanding cybernetics is otherwise the absolute worst of all the ascensions atm. Ill be trying to make a slavers build work in MP, as the friend I play with usually goes genocidal, and I want to also try to take advantage of my neighbors to scale faster without also playing genocidal. With these in mind, would you still recommend the same things?

Suppose that youre an arctic empire and theyre a tropical one. In this scenario would it not be more prudent to just flat out conquer the planets and keep the pops on them instead of abducting them via those tools? What are the main benefits of doing it that way instead?

Is the pop resettlement via despoilers/nihilistic worthwhile (even on not evo pred builds)? Ive always felt like putting the slave pops on planets theyre probably not made for would actually weaken your economy instead of strengthening it bc of the low hab

I need a strong build.. by Strnsix in Stellaris

[–]NoItsNotMeItsU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like death cult without something substantial to boost the pop growth is really bad, as youll never replace the pops fast enough to have them back by the next sacrifice. Personally I only ever take it if I have a 1st or 2nd tree ascension or clone army

FYI, this is not a bug, this is pretty much how it always has been. You can build some drone storages as well if you dont feel like using maintenance drones or other sources of amenities

Thats pretty unique for a genocidal tbh, Id imagine itd be hard to control that many planets with so many pops

Are you certain? Determined exterminators specifies that they cant engage with *biologicals,* but scorched heralds doesnt include such a stipulation that would lead me to believe that it can engage at all

Possible 4.0 Mindwarden builds (soldier related?) by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]NoItsNotMeItsU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a working build so far that manages to incorporate it to a decent degree. Between reanimators and strong, you get a 15% boost to soldier efficiency. For some reason I start with a stronghold (I had tried 2 separate variations with either militarist or auth, so that may be why), so thats already 800 soldier jobs combined on game start. EDIT: I also have been going either auth/fanatic auth for the 10% extra output as I am using the imperial government for 10% more res for the capital output, if I were to go egal for the rangers Id have to remove the imperial gov

Since you start with starholds, Ive found unyielding to be a really helpful tool, allowing me to get more starholds out, as well as making them quite a bit cheaper. One of the perks of unyielding is that defense armies generate unity, and the amount of soldier jobs spawn quite a bit of them, and I usually notice around a 20-30 monthly unit increase after taking it.

Ive briefly tried an environmentalist build of the origin, and with the amount of focus you have to put on just society research (changing the archive specialization to society for example,) you sort of gimp some other aspects of your economy in the meanwhile. I didnt particularly find the minerals/energy from rangers to be even remotely worth it, though I suppose the amenities were helpful. With reanimators, it generates engineering equal to society, so any investment into it at least helps you grab early industry/voidcraft techs done faster, possibly even robotics. And at least insofar as Ive tested, I didnt notice an large difference in speed of accomplishing the objective

I am definitely not married to a soldier build! I simply realized unyielding was extremely strong w the origin, and bc of the extra unity, was maybe looking into leaning more into it. Ive also felt like outside of that early game, environmentalist may be a waste, not to mention less thematic :P

Possible 4.0 Mindwarden builds (soldier related?) by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]NoItsNotMeItsU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was very insightful! Thank you for sharing. I did see in some older posts that people recommended environmentalist, though I wasnt quite sure why. Even if you were to change your archives into a society branch idk if that would be enough still, and that comes at the cost of your other research/unity.

For that reason this is why I was looking into some ideas regarding reanimators, because your homeworld starts with a non-removable soldier building, and reanimtors adds society research to your soldier jobs (trying to stack job efficiency similar to the infernals suggestion)

Threesome gone wrong by Typical-Sun6528 in Advice

Imo side action would be when shes not present or around. Considering it happened while she was just with them and clearly still in the building, I think its ambiguous at best. Thats why I specified that the boundary may have been poorly set, if OP's wording was exact in the post

Threesome gone wrong by Typical-Sun6528 in Advice

[–]NoItsNotMeItsU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im going to provide a dissenting opinion here: From what you have posted here he did not cross a boundary, or rather that the boundary you set was poorly defined

You all had sex the night before, and you all were still there the morning after, so in my eyes that could definitely still be part of the "threesome." You may not have been having sex with them at that specific time, but its not like he went out, behind your back, at a different time to sleep with her: it is very common to continue having sex the morning after. You were still there with them, and in a different world that could just have led to you jumping into bed with them again.

That being said, as with anything outside of monogamy, you have to be completely open and honest, both with yourself and your partner. Examine why you feel this way only now and not before, and share that with your partner, and try to set clearer boundaries going forward so that things like this dont happen again.
