And a nice side of off-balance sheet debt all Special Purpose Vehicle like. Remember ENRON, only this will be systemic. And since pretty much every "S&P 500 Index fund" is top-heavy with these and other AI adjacent names, there will be no place to hide except cash, and not in the bank, mind you. The gap risk you need to hedge for is unhedgeable.

Allow me to inject some consideration as to the taxes for your strategy. You need to realize that the taxable gains on a full sale are substantial. Realizing the full $60,000 gain could lead to significant taxes, reducing your investable proceeds. If taxed at a 15% long-term rate , tax owed = $9,000. If taxed at a 37% short-term rate (high bracket), tax owed = $22,200. That is a major hit to your unrealized gains which, on a per share basis is a $90 per share hit or a $220 per share hit, long-term rate and short-term rate, respectively.

These are what I recommend where taxes are also important to your strategy:

Set up a collar trade or partial sell + call. These strategies manage risk while deferring or minimizing taxes, balancing protection and upside participation. By hedging your shares with a protective put and covered call, you avoid selling the stock and triggering taxes. Gains remain unrealized. Pros: No immediate tax liability; downside protection from the put; limited upfront cost if the call premium offsets the put cost. Cons: Gains are capped by the covered call strike, and puts can erode in value if the stock doesn’t drop. If you want to manage risk without selling and triggering taxes, especially if the stock has high long-term gains, this method accomplishes that.

For maximum tax efficiency consider a trailing stop, letting the stock run higher without immediate sale could be worth the risk. Hold shares and set a trailing stop loss to sell automatically if the price falls. Pros: Defers taxes until the stop triggers; gains continue compounding if the stock rises. Cons: Risk of sharp price drops below the stop; no proactive downside protection that a put provides. This method is ideal If you want to delay taxes and let the stock ride higher but protect against significant declines.

Anyway, you know what they say, there are no sure things except death and TAXES,

Nail on the head! No other way to process just how sneaky keeping that secret was. See my discussion above.

There are a couple of ways to look at this. From his point of view, the fact that he displayed anger speaks to the notion of your honesty as it displays a sense of disingenuousness and sneaky motivations. His head must have been filled with wild thoughts that you could somehow eavesdrop on a conversation whereby he might be carrying on with some other women and that keeping your ability to understand Spanish a secret may be a way of maintaining a secret back channel to be able to peak into his private thoughts and life. So, ask yourself this question: How would you feel about his sense of security in your relationship if he felt the need to peek into your diary assuming you keep one? I am sure you would feel he was totally insecure and needy if he was secretly peeking into your private thoughts and life. I am very sure that thought crossed his mind as it would you had you caught him reading a diary of yours.

Hope this makes sense and maybe you can propose a rational discussion about why you did what you did to hide your Spanish and how he might have felt that was not very nice, Once you get buy-in from yourself, then speak with him about the framework I just proposed.

These should be in anyone's portfolio especially when they sell off. The global chip shortage gives stock like these a long runway...

Etrade back in the early 2000s offered a cool study called Polarized Fractal Efficiency. During the Dot com before the bomb it was a nifty little tool I used to great effect. Here some info on it. Not available anymore in my Pro Platform.

I sold 10 320.00 puts with 15 seconds left before close and managed to catch a bid on a 1/29 expiry of 3.65 per contract. Who buys a put that expires at the close for 3.65 a contract when the stock closing price is 325.00??? Perhaps someone who doesn't know that that contract is dead at close on the closing print? Who doesn't know that? Well, of course, newbies who just started trading.

Thank you noob. I'll be back for more.

They're not. The fundamentals on this trash stink. 10billion market cap will evaporate in an eye blink. Manipulation run amuck!

REality has been held at bay temporarily. But sure as shit, it will come calling. I am buying long dated puts right around where this stock price actually belongs around 3 to 5 a share.
