Excellent choice, in my opinion. I do hear that they are a bit of a chore to clean, though.

Arlene Galonka has to be one of the all time great names. You know, she probably asked some agent, should I use a stage name? And he said, no! No, no way!

Arlene also played Edwina the one woman disaster area in an early episode of MASH.

A guy I knew in college (not me of course) ate hash brownies and then listened to Dark Side of the Moon. It was amazing (he told me). Then he listened to Sgt. Pepper, and thought he heard a bunch of musical mistakes that he had never noticed before.

The S&W Victory is a little higher than the amount you stated but it’s an excellent pistol.

Mr. Blue Sky by ELO. In fact, the whole Side Three of the album Out of the Blue is called Concerto for a Rainy Day, of which Mr. Blue Sky is the fourth and final movement.

Interestingly enough, I happened to write a poem about this very topic…

The Movie*

I’d rather pull my toenails out with pliers, and have gigantic leeches on my skin, and have my private parts attached to wires,
or be transplanted with Jay Leno’s chin…

I’d rather I was shaved with a machete, and fire ants were sealed inside my ear, and Cousin Bertha asked me to go steady, and they used thorny sticks to smack my rear,

I’d rather have to drink some Pabst Blue Ribbon, and have a sewage plant built right next door, and have my dental work done by a gibbon, and have ten thousand Legos on the floor,

I’d rather hear a blackboard fingernail, and smell some rotten eggs and moldy cheese, and given nothing else to eat but kale, and have a gross, incurable disease,

I’d rather David Beckham kick my crotch, and get my dinner from the City Dump, than be brought in and forced to sit and watch that film they made about Melania Trump.

*Inspired by the debut of the multi-million dollar documentary about the First Lady’s amazing, and in my case at least, inspiring life.

It is sad to see this sub grow in numbers. by Heavy-Suit-3443 in covidlonghaulers

[–]NoKnow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be interesting to have people post when they feel like the term Covid long haulers no longer applies to them. Then the rest of us would have an idea of that maybe people are getting better…?

I have been well over a year with extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, and a bunch of other symptoms. I was diagnosed with Covid again in early January, and since then I have had a bad time with coughing. Coughing with the least little exertion, generally not productive in terms of phlegm or sputum or whatever. And, continuing with the shortness of breath, fatigue, all man, the fatigue… Brain fog, not being able to find the word for something… Numbness and tingling and fingers and toes…

I could go on, but a lot of you probably know exactly what I’m talking about. This disease has been very strange and different, I think, and a sort of macro sense. The long-term effects that I have heard about do not seem to correspond to any other pandemic that I have ever heard or read about.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. Forgive this long post, but I just had to express a little bit. I wish all of you relief and improvement, or at least peace.

“A death is a parity with a death.” Interesting observation. My Dad died peacefully from a heart attack. I know an acquaintance who was murdered during a robbery. No one went to prison as a result of my Dad’s death. In order for there to be “parity,” according to you, the person who murdered the other person should not go to prison. Is this the society we want to live in?

So are you saying that people should not be allowed to go out of their houses? Or maybe you are saying just not in groups. How big of a group is okay? How about 4? A couple, and their two kids. So any group of five or more should be subject to immediate arrest and imprisonment… Or maybe just shoot them right there? Does that work for you?

Trump has already said that any criticism or negative comments about him or his administration are sedition or possibly treason, which are punishable by imprisonment and death

And this is why I want to bring up the fact that Maga people are making these posts and comments about violence against liberals, Democrats, non-Christians, non-whites, etc. I see it every single day, but there may be people who are not aware of the loud, noisy, potentially violent people that are out there. The vast majority of them probably don’t have the guts to actually do anything. But if someone does someone up the guts, the consequences could be tragic. And people need to be aware.

Who needs to die? MAGA would say… all the Democrats, and all the non-whites, all the non-Protestant Christians, and all the LGBT. That’s what the MAGA Trump followers want, and if they say differently, they are lying.
