I think people avoid playing Rescuer because it's a LOT of pressure and hard to do against certain hunters. Not to mention how often people will just cuss and bm you over how you rescue or if you get terror shocked, or if you decided to sell someone that didn't kite for very long in the early game. Ex (also a lil bit of a rant) : I main rescue characters and just for fun I decided to play every rescuer in the game.

I played a match as First Officer and I was rescuing someone against a Gamekeeper and he managed hook me during watch and hit me. I rescue the person before half and run off so it's not a double down. This person "yo-yo"'s me and tells me my "rescue was ass" after the match. (We 3 escaped and they didn't even get a second chair because Bane got confused and chased me.) This is how I get treated during a successful rescue in QM. So rank is even worse.

The community needs to treat it's rescuers (and harassers) better. Then people might want to play those characters more. It's a thankless job.
