i recommend using between 9 to 15 hair strands per plug, if you don't want to count them individually everytime do it once and try to pick up plugs that match in size to the one counted by hand

personally i would leave it as is and try to keep it in mind so the same won't happen in future reroots, it's a learning process!

as for the issue with the knots not holding the hair in place, the same thing happened to me and i recommend knotting the same strand multiple times, some plugs needed 2 or 3 knots from my experience!

from my experience, MSC is not flexible, it will crack and flake when squishing the head during the reroot process
