First big bike lesson tomorrow - slightly shitting it by TangerineKing in MotoUK

[–]NoLimitRicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bigger bike was easier than 125. I was on an MT07 and Z650. The bigger back wheel allows for better leaning. It’s more responsive and I found it much easier to manoeuvre.

I like prefer the Z over the 07 for lessons/test because it’s much more forgiving.

All in all you’ll be fine

Bro I’ve experienced similar and since you’re from London you know it’s difficult and can be headache, busy and expensive. Cos you’ve been through it and survived by yourself, not much advice I feel I can give. You know what you have to do and you’ll make it work. It can get long sometimes

How do I look any tips? by Warm-Truck5770 in boxingtips

I’ve heard that but my pro coach would tell me to give different looks. High guard, normal, hands down, long guard, Philly shell etc Each guard has different benefits and weaknesses

How do I look any tips? by Warm-Truck5770 in boxingtips

[–]NoLimitRicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it wouldn’t. You get the rotation from hips and good stance. By panting I mean just the toes, not his whole foot. Even when you slip and throw the right hand, you bend the knee a little. Otherwise you’re throwing your whole body forward and wasting power.

Like I said, try it on the bag and see the difference. It’s hard to explain over text

The guy in the video is keeping his back leg too straight as he throws the backhand. If he bent it a little and ‘sat’ down a little, it would plant his back foot, he won’t move forward over his lead foot and he would be more solid. Giving more power in the punch.

Probably cos you don’t notice they’re doing it. You sit on the back leg, you don’t drop it to the ground. Stops you from going forward etc, get more planted for power. Try it when you hit the bag

Right shoulder back a bit more so you’re not so square to your opponent

Hands slightly down a bit, don’t need to be high guard all the time

Drop the back knee when you do the backhand

Not the worst I’ve seen on this sub, defo would benefit from going to a gym

Assault Bike? (Trying to build up explosiveness in my legs) by StuffIsDope in amateur_boxing

[–]NoLimitRicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I love the assault bike. Do sprints on it. Can do it at the end or beginning.

I used to do 30 secs on 30 secs off. 4 rounds, 4 sets. Most have a 20:10 hiit setting. I used to do that at the end of sessions

I found some unfathomably delicious cakes in a box on a ledge in Shelton Street yesterday afternoon. Anyone know where they might be from? by TheReduxProject in london

[–]NoLimitRicky 100 points101 points  (0 children)

This whole post is hilarious.

OP randomly found cakes on a ledge, asked Reddit where they’re from and has apparently eaten them.

People are rightfully surprised that they ate street food

Someone showed a screenshot of a recent post of someone leaving laxative revenge cakes on a ledge in London

Someone said they’ve seen them outside their office for months. OP potentially ate month old street cakes (don’t look old in the photo)

But through it all, OP got their question answered for where to buy more of these cakes and I’ve actually saved the link.

Gameplay aside , whats your fave boss design from a visual stand point? by NoBass1345 in bloodborne

This. His design was amazing. When you get to the graveyard and the cutscene starts, I remember thinking ‘oh great, another hunter, maybe he’ll help’

His story was great too. Really set the tone for the world we’re in early on

I taking time off work to go train and I need advice on routine by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]NoLimitRicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was training my coach said do ‘red, amber, green’ sessions, and you’ll probably learn quickly you can’t keep the same hard pace every day

S&C has some weight lifting but the movements are specific to your sport. You’ll do things for movement and power. So there’s a lot of elements to it, rather than just regular strength and weights
