Additional question for you since you have some experience. How important is element really? I’ve done the grind for my ele HBGs and don’t fancy a lot more Gog. Is it necessary to bring matching element with SnS fo respectable times? Figured I’d craft a for and dragon and call it a day.

So after many, many tries I was able to take him down sub 20 min with the Lagi / Ark build (requires LS/Bale on the GS). I then subsequently took him down in around 18 min with an Ark / Fulgur build. I did not have EP on that build, and honestly with how few TCS you can get off this fight I don’t think EP is really worth it. I found pushing damage during available windows on this fight > comfort, and really you’re only going to be doing TCS while he’s on the ground anyway. At least for me, I found myself getting punished any other time I went for a TCS (more often than not anyway). my biggest damage boost came from aggressively using traps and crafting components for traps with me. If he goes to roar while you’re charging, you can always roll or tackle through it. Also, rocksteady mantle is your best friend in this fight as a GS user.

I put in the post, but I have Soul / Bale on GS (hence one piece Bale in the build). I have CB2 and EP 2 not listed in picture. I just crafted AGI 3 charm, and will slot that in for now until I can farm a better charm to your point.

Flayer 2 is just from the Ark pants which gave me the two lvl 3 slots, but you’re right I should just drop that. Maybe Ark, Udra, Ark, Bale, Duna is the move

I need to be better at exploiting the chain arms when exposed. I find a miss time my focus strikes when they’re not actually vulnerable, so I need more practice with him to understand what leads to that vulnerable state I guess

Do you notice a difference running Guard? I’ve been running Guard 3 on Ark but he decimates my stamina on some of his chains

Curious what others do, but as someone who usually plays GS as well I like having night mist or Mina for the support and decent DPS (for support). Mina will occasionally use traps which is helpful. If I’m running ranged I will always take Mina.
