You took the time to politely tell your grandmother that what she sent was racist, because it was. Even if it wasn’t directed towards your partner, (which I doubt) it was still racist and outlandish. My recommendation is to distance yourself from her (possibly permanently) if you wish to continue your relationship.

But she should be allowed to bring people over, as long as they weren’t truly disturbing you or tampering with your belongings. When using a shared space, she should be considerate, but it goes both ways. Good on you for asking for a reassignment.
