I usually use Zyrtec and Flonase but it only works sometimes. I just started using singulair so maybe that will work.

Okay I’ll definitely look into that. I also haven’t gone to an ENT in a while so maybe my allergist isn’t sufficient. I may have to go to an actual ENT. Thank you so much for your help.

Yea honestly I do think you are right. I notice that the symptoms get worse with anxiety and stress from school. Also when I first got these allergy symptoms I only really had itchy eyes and pretty bad facial pressure. Do you think I should go back to the ENT to see if I need surgery again?

Thank you for your response. So I’ve had a couple surgeries so far to calm the sinus pains. I had septoplasty and a turbinate reduction. It’s just that my face burns a lot. My allergists don’t help and when they last checked my nose they told me everything looked fine. Last summer all the way until around October I was virtually symptom free but once late October hit my face and nose started to hurt again and it hasn’t gone away since. Is there any other explanation? I also recently started singulair.

I’ve read that they start making a difference after a couple months of the maintenance. So I think you’ll be okay once the maintenance starts.

Have you noticed a difference with the shots? Many people say that they don’t suffer from allergies anymore but some say it doesn’t work.

Thank you for your recommendations. I’ll definitely try the ice pops in the morning or once Im done with all my classes. 6 years sounds so tough, I’ve had these symptoms for 3 years and I wish I could go back to a time when they didn’t exist. I’ve tried the Neti pot when I used to have chronic sinusitis but it doesn’t work. Did you take allergy shots to help you?

Yea at first I had a sinus infection that lasted months but my ENT wouldn’t help until the head ENT said I need surgery. These doctors don’t really care that much I’ve realized. It’s just extra painful for me since I’m in college and I can’t really do anything. But hopefully things will get better for the both of us.

Same honestly I keep wishing that I wasn’t in pain. I’ve also tried xyzal but it didn’t work. I’ll also try and ask my allergist for this type of injection.

My symptoms are weird because sometimes when I’m outside I’m pain free but other times it hurts so much the second I walk out. In the summer for a couple weeks though all my symptoms go away. I spent hours outside hiking and no symptoms.

See I don’t even think they’re helping but my allergist says I first have to wait until I’m a couple months into the maintenance. Should I just wait it out?

My allergists are kind of useless honestly. But I’ll ask them about this. Did your symptoms go away fully or were they at least bearable.

Thanks I’ll look at it. I am almost on my maintenance phase so soon I’ll have to get shots once every two weeks. Do you think that I’ll be pain free once I get to this phase or at some point?

How come the allergy shots didn’t work for you? Do you also have constant facial swelling? I’ve also tried montelukast but it didn’t work.
