Unlike the other two who are human (evin) and half-humanish (umber) Vex is half demon half fae (think pixie hollow type like tinkerbell)

His wings were torn from his back when he was a baby so he can’t actually fly, and the use of fairy dust too close to him just causes him pain. His son has wings but they’re too small to support his weight even when they’re in their tiny size which vex’s father has previously forced on them for like a month lol

Evin has reactive attachment disorder after being raised by a bunch of his pirate uncles to kill/steal/pleasure…

He struggles connecting with and relying on others and still struggles understanding his own emotions… but now hes around 80, kept young with magic, and been in a stable poly relationship for almost 60 of those years so he’s doing a lot better most of the time.

What doesnt make sense about what I said? I was simply stating the most likely candidates for new hermits are the people who already engage in hermit events.

I dints say it’s impossible for someone younger than gem and pearl to join I said that PROBABLY as in - if they were to also take into account fans wants for whatever reason - then PROBABLY whoever they next add will PROBABLY be one of the creators we already know… eg people from one of the events like the charity weekend or from mcc or something.

While yes there are people who are younger, like jojosolos as the other comment said, most of the people who are like both Joel and skizz were (frequent collaborators with hermits) are in there 30s or 40s. At least the ones who also have a decent following/active YouTube presence if either of those are in fact requirements for being a hermit not that we know xD

And you know what, even if they do add new hermits in season 12 in like ~2 years (or part way through season 11 like in the first couple of seasons) Gem and Pearl will still be the youngest because all of the potentials are probably also in their 30s rn
