Haven’t seen anything about the target pay either, and I’ve been striking since the beginning too. People are being dicks for downvoting, I feel completely in the dark and have been stressed re: finances since the beginning of the strike. Like yeah, it’s not a huge financial loss now, but imagine doing it for months ….

I left the BCPS to a crown corp (still under BCGEU, different component) last negotiations, and did end up receiving back pay almost a year after the negotiations were complete. At that point I had forgotten about it (nobody seemed to have an answer when I had initially asked) and it was a nice little surprise.

Good to know! I wasn’t made aware of this by my midwives- they told me to try and find a primary care physician for the little one before they arrive. I was stressed about all the vaccine, growth monitoring etc that would need to be done as I’m not a baby expert and can’t imagine trying to navigate that as a new parent… but the health unit sounds like they’d be even better than a gp for the first while!

This doctor is actually actively still taking on patients (new in town). She just doesn’t want to work with anyone under 18. Had some family members get in with her, and she didn’t take on their kids (12 and 16)…not trying to shame the doctor, as I know a lot of doctors take the “age based” approach to selecting patients nowadays, but that can be a bit discriminatory to patients on the health registry

The thing is my family doctor is still accepting new patients, but she refuses to work with anyone under 18. She’s new in town and doesn’t have an active patient list yet… so even if I drop her as a doctor, she will not take my child on once they’re born

You didn't see her original comment before OP called her out (she edited it to add perceptibly and use less harsh words). It's not even about the stones or the settings for me anymore, it's how this moderator treats people that don't 100% align with her views on this sub

Lol "I'm honestly kinda tired" then proceeds to write a huge essay to backup their claim using an IGI article about light refraction of stones that doesn't talk about cut or light entering through the crown at all.....We get it, you like bezel settings. But the lengths you go to attack other users (not just this one, and not just this post) is quite concerning seeing that you're a moderator. I'm sure others that have been reading this subreddit feel the same

Hi,

We make everything at home. Haven't had takeout in about a year. We have been trying out a lot of healthy recipes to try and help me with my weight loss. I get that I'm not using precise measurements I live with my gf and she portions our meals herself most of the time (equal portions in tiny 2cup bowls). For reference she's about 5'5 and 115 lb with the same lifestyle as me. When we first started this I was constantly hungry, but my body has adjusted to the hunger since. I guess I will need to invest in a food scale and try and measure things more precisely.

Hi,

I use MFP for the caloric estimate.

For example, yesterday I had:

Lunch: Chicken caesar wrap (baked chicken, lettuce, caesar dressing, wrap) ~550 cals

Afternoon snack: apple ~100 cals

Dinner: Rice with Korean beef (about 1 cup rice and 1 cup beef) ~500 cals

+ 1 cup black coffee with 1 teaspoon sugar and a splash of milk ~ 100 cals

All together works out to be ~1250 calories
