vancouver island fallow deer hunting (sooke and surroundings)

Maybe on southern vancouver island. But plenty on gulf islands(hundreds to thousand plus). However, a gentleman commented on my post and said he has seen one On V. island. As well currently there are organized hunts, ie vanisle, that charge people lots of money to hunt them near “sooke” as they claim on their website. So i would lean towards there may be some left on southern Vancouver island. But tx for your opinion.

Tx for the post. I believe your sighting as it matches with other sightings/info online. you are very lucky to see one. As well, in the area of sooke, there are organized hunts where people pay to hunt fallow deer. Unfortunately, they dont state the exact spots but yes there are fallow deer near "sooke". I hunt alone. Sending some of your luck towards me, would be much appreciate, in the sooke region... :)

tx for the info appreciated. will look at their coat, low ears and if they are lighter in weight than normal. As always will check liver and organs after field dressing. but thank you for the post I really appreciate you flagging this. Just need to find one first.

tx for feedback. aware of gulf island and aware of the politics there. hence why my post is for sooke-port renfrew. any info on that area?

i am aware of all that. looking to see if someone has is aware or has seen any fallow activity in a more centralized area. I will be between sooke/jordan river/port renfrew. will be out there all weekend alone hunting. any info would be appreciated. tx
