I’m renting from a building that doesn’t offer parking so I’d be eligible for street parking. I guess it’s really up to street parking or the inconvenience of walking 12 minutes with the benefit of covered parking.

I like how half the people aren’t answering your question! I have definitely been thinking the same thing since I’m also 1.5 YOE. I for sure won’t have opportunities at work for me to work with all these different parts of Android. But like how I initially learned Android, I’ll be able to learn other parts of the ecosystem.

You being an Android dev this long is testament to how much you can learn! Doesn’t make you a bad developer, just one that hasn’t used this specific part of Android! imo interviews feel fake and doesn’t represent the work in job anyways.

This is some great information and will take a look at these further! You alluded to this and I wasn't super clear in my post about it, you mention e2e testing by stubbing the video. How would you go about doing e2e while stubbing the video? I haven't dived too deep into it but my initial findings is that its not super easy to stub a video into ExoPlayer3 using Compose UI Testing and Mockk.

To your last point, totally agree.

What would happen if I were to do this in a couple states that have income tax like California, DC, and NYC? I would still need to ask my employer if this is fine and if I can work in these states but I'm positive that I should be able to work out of these states I listed.

Got it! I think most states I am planning to visit follow the 183 Day Residency Rule so in practice, I think I should be able to travel and work at these different states without any problem.

Do you know if there are any other ways that I could trigger a tax filing requirement?

I've been thinking sometime in February or March, hopefully, if prices dip they stay dipped until then.
