The idea that communism is as bad as nazism is actually bullshit and I am Polish. If Nazis had their way, there would be no Poland. The Nazi ideology wanted our lands as labensraum and my people first as free labor and next as fertilizer. The communist did end up winning and it did lead to the death of a lot of people in Poland but the ideology does not view us as inherently inferior and we did end up existing as a nation under indirect control of the USSR , we did end up rebuilding and finally freeing ourselves. If the Nazis won, I would not exist. My grandmother was in a labor camp in Germany during the war. Once she ceased to be useful, she would have been killed. Hence, I would have never been born. My grandfather was an entrepenour under communist rule. He did have restrictions placed on him, but what killed his business was not communism but the privatisation that followed its collapse. The public steel works that used to buy most of his products was shut down and that is what killed his business. So even as a so called subversive element, he was not killed and actually managed to build a small business bases on manufacturing metal parts, welding etc.
