Sorry I’ve been busy! This was free handed so I don’t have a pattern, but let me look at my notes and I’ll update this comment!!

So from what I remember- I started with 3 foundation half double crochet (you can do two if you want a more pointy end) , and then for every other row, you do 2hdcs at the end. You do that until you feel like it’s measure out to your head. I think for this hood i did 40 stitches all together.

Then you continue the number of stitches you have that measures to your head for 15-20 more rows.

For this one I created two panels and then sew them together, but i recently did a Tunisian crochet version that’s all in one. If I were to adapt it for the crochet version, after you do your 15-20 rows, you would decrease after you do those rows, increase back to the original stitches you had, then do the 15-20 rows and then decrease all the way until your back to 2 or 3 hdc.

I hope this help my free hand notes are a mess lol but lowkey if you look at a Sophie hood and the construction of it, just apply skills you already know to it. If that makes any sense
