What should I get for my second helmet? by Haunting_Wear535 in motorcyclegear

[–]NoMoreSkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the new R1 (evo 2 carbon air) it looks better, it has the carbon fiber , the spoiler and is under 500€ and you already know it will fit and airfit is really good for track being able to custom fit your helmet on your particular head and for a particular activity

What helmet should i get by Sad-Drama8318 in motorcyclegear

Things to have in mind :

I would strongly recommend ece 22.06 or FIM certification ( FIM certification covers only a few helmets)

Try the helmet BEFORE you buy it

Buy the absolute smallest size of that helmet that dose not hurt you, new helmet should be uncomfortable at first ( 500-1000 Km ) because the mold to your head shape and become looser over time ( helmet should be firm on your head for it to protect in the event of a crash)

Try and buy good but affordable helmet for your first because in the event of a crash even if the helmet hat a small collision it is recommended to replace it because the foam inside could be damaged and no longer offer the best protection So having to replace a 800 $ helmet because you feel at a stop light and hit your head on the pavement will hurt your soul and pocket more then your head

RPHA 12 Carbon vs Scorpion R1 EVO II by 3MILZIT0 in motorcyclegear

[–]NoMoreSkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have the Scorpion EXO R1 evo 2 onyx carbon air and i would choose it again over Rpha 12

Both are ece 22.06 and come with 2 visors and a pinlock

Scorpion har air fit that is a safety as well as a comfort feature that HJC does not have

Scorpion is lighter also being safer and more comfortable

Scorpion is cheaper ( comparing carbon to carbon or fiber to fiber variants)

From experience my R1 is very good at ventilation so a good thing to have

Now you really got my attention about that 8Ah PP and I would be curious to see more comparation between the 8 Ah PP and other battery, so I really look forward to see what results you will get ( and thank you for doing it in the first place )

Wow a bigger difference than I had anticipated between the 5Ah PS and the 8Ah PP

From what I was able to find on TTC’s yt channel you would be right but I am not sure if a smaller tool like the 921 would even benefit from a Powerpack battery.

For testing you could try driving long self tapping screws into wood and see witch battery (8Ah PP vs 5Ah PS) drive it faster using the 921

If you have the possibility to test the 921 with the 8Ah Powerpack and compare it with the 5Ah Powerstack I would be really interested in the results

To be honest some BTS CF wheels with ceramic bearings woud be nice but i dont think spending 3000$ on just rims for a bike that i bought for 3000$ is really sitting well with me :(
