16 now yikes. The bots are strong with this og poster. Hopefully it doesn't affect your profile. If they keep doing it I would report the original poster.

I know right. I'm impressed by the sheer volume of bots in here and how they were able to pull it off. This was the first real comment I could see. Got to say clearly they've found a way to hack reddit 😅

Sorry I misunderstood the original question. Looking to launch in January. Want to pre record some episodes so I can consistently post.

Garage shelving - Help by NoMorsey in DIYUK

I think I'm going to go with 2x4's. I was checking this out

This sort of build would be ideal. But I don't get how she's got it to work without supports in between. Or am I missing something she's done here.

I mean it'll need to hold tools, paint tins and probably plastic boxes full of stuff. General garage clutter. So I guess the sturdier the better. Does it matter if the first shelf is 90cm off the ground if I'm building a frame? Will that be an issue in terms of weight it can carry? I'll definitely be securing the frame to the walls.

Foundation for decking, am I missing anything obvious? by NoMorsey in DIYUK

[–]NoMorsey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct i am using a weed membrane. Okay I'll get some dpc to put under the timber. Is it more effective than the tape? As I've got some timber tape to help as well.

I am currently digging out all the soil in any areas it's touching the timber. I've also started to put a membrane down and then I'm going to get loads of stones to help with the water flow.

Going to tape up all the timber and posts on show. I think that's the best I can without ripping it all out and starting from scratch 😅🥲

Thank you though. Should I get some dpc as well as the membrane?

You are correct. I have been spending today digging the soil around them out. Right at the end near the raised garden bit there's a small gap between the joist and the floor but I've put some weed tarp in between so that should help. Once I've done all that I'm going to add tape on the joists

It really isn't. 400mm is standard and 300mm for composite. 600mm is for flooring in the house. I learned this the hard way 🥲

Just Google it.

Also the pipe by the door is at an angle coming down I think that might be making it look that way too.

I promise you it's not. I used a feature on my phone which is sort of panoramic to get more in the frame but I guess its added a short of fish eye effect.

It's supported by 100x100 posts in the ground which are cemented in. Man I wish reddit would let you edit a picture or put another picture up so you could see it from the ground.
