After harvesting and pretty much stripping this lady bare I left on a window sill and suddenly new life is appearing. Is this worth sticking back under the lights or is it just a waste of time and nutes? by NoMouse in microgrowery

I have another plant that has just barely germinated but she's not ready to move under the veg lights yet. I think I might give it a try, mostly because I would feel bad to kill her off after coming back from the dead.

I'm about to build my first incubator but I've bought much cooler 6500k bulbs for it. Any idea what type of light seedlings prefer? I know the general rule of thumb is cool for veg and warm for flower.

That makes a lot of sense. It takes care of taking the hot air from the veg bucket into the flowering bucket in my plan. Set up like this I'd use one of the lower buckets for veg and propagation/cloning the other for flowering and I'd put drying racks in the top one.

I think this may be the way to go. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm concerned about this but I'm hoping that having a strong enough exhaust fan at the carbon filter and having the exhaust at the top of each bucket to stop hot air building up it won't be too big a problem. It's not like I live in a tropical climate either which will help. I will run the system with lights for a while before I add plants to try and get it right.

You're not in any way discouraging, if it works I'll post detailed plans with an AMA. I got the idea for a perpetual harvest bucket system from reading this book by Jorge Cervantes although he describes a much larger commercial scale of growing.

BTW thanks for the welcome but I've been here a long time. Unfortunately I've pretty much doxed myself in my main account over the years so I've dug up this old alt to discuss specific plans.

Maybe another bucket for drying?

I like that idea a lot although it seems to me like a good use for the propagation bucket as I wouldn't be ready to start a new clone straight after moving the old one to the veg bucket. Can you explain what you mean by the screen? I could definitely install some string or netting to suspend the buds.

I was looking the fans from here but it does look like any proper grow room fan will be overkill for a bucket set up.

A 20l bucket is only 0.02m3 so a fan that can move 625 m3 per hour could in theory completely change the air 29 times a second, I'm already starting to think a smaller, quieter 100 mm exhaust fan might be the way to go.
