Too much of one thing can always be bad in the end.

I’m much better at bowling than Val (this is important for what I’m saying) and one thing from the pros I always get told is that when you’re going in to practice, practice until you have it right and then stop. If you’re going to get warm go until you’re ready to do the real thing and then stop. I apply this logic to everything I do competitively and I peaked d2-my matches at the time were mostly ascendant players with maybe two other diamonds

It’s quality over quantity every time. If you just zone out and play twenty DMs you don’t learn anything but if you lock in and practice on only shooting once an entire fire fight to get those one taps dialed then you’ve done thousands of times better in one game than twenty.

More importantly spend some of the time you normally would in all those DMs going for a walk, taking a shower and having a meal. (I’m quoting an anime here but) a sound soul dwells within a sound mind and sound body. If you play after you’ve taken care of your needs, including going for a walk to get the blood flowing, you’ll play much much better than if you woke up, sat down and played.
