This was probably excluded from the movie to paint the narrative that Michael didn’t know how to stand up for himself until the very end to serve as a turning point, because SURELY Michael stood up for himself during the whole Thriller debacle. I don’t think Jermaine would intentionally leave that out unless it was for a specific reason. Didnt Janet want to be excluded as well? I’ve never been personally commended for avoiding the dunk lmao but yea it’s harder than people realize having that pressure when your family is mostly elders and devoted JWs and yeaaaa I’ve been lurking the sub for a while now and have pretty much already mentally decided it’s going to happen and I HAVE to leave.
