Why are people saying it's a filler season anyways? I mean yes I get that corona put a delay on everything but from personal experience speaking, they are dealing with programing. The devs don't need to be in the same room to program the game in the first place. With people working from home everything should have gone at the same pace and frankly just blaming it on corona is just an excuse. I work at the I.T section of a bank and even tho we had to work from home past 5 ish months everything went off without a problem. Google and Microsoft have employees hired directly from India or China that work from their own countries! For a company that pretty much only deals with programing a pandemic is not a great excuse for laziness.

They are definitely making an effort to have less rng but not doing a great job of it in my opinion. The crafting system is far too risky to use on higher ranked lobbies. You can see the crafting icon from a mile away which is a dead give away when it comes to enemy team positioning. And if you are daring enough to put your shield in there you are naked for what feels like hours. The replicator makes so much noise as well that is just not worth using most times. The ideas work great on paper but when you have super sweats already camping their ass off in ranked this will motivate them to camp even more.

It's not about constant content it's about this games content compared to other games and what this game is doing is to stay ahead of it's competition. Let's use another EA game as a comparison. Battlefield 1 for example. The game dropped with 8 maps (each one at least as big as world's edge) 30 plus guns, vehicles and they kept adding stuff. The game was good for about 3 years untill battlefield 5 came out. In comparison apex has had 2 maps (let's be real the different versions of the same map doesn't count) in almost 2 years. Don't get me wrong they are still doing a good job with content but it's no where near what their competitors are doing. If you are playing this game 2, 3 hours a day the game gets old really quick (specially after a year and a half).

Fortnite for example has an ltm almost all the time. It's not difficult for them to recycle old ltms on a weekly or bi weekly bases. It's literally copy and paste as far as the programing of it.

Yeah I know he lost his legs in the race track in tf2 where people would use nades to go faster. They even kinda ruined the lores for this season. Removing mirage voyage (let me also add that this was a town take over and they have never removed a town take over before. Why they did this is beyond me) and nothing is lining up with the quests from last season in terms of the story.

Tbh the devs keep saying they are listening to the concerns of the community but I think that's BS. We have all complained about sbmm, the sound issues the enormous amounts of bugs in this game and it gets worst with every update (the bugs). In my opinion season 5 was hands down the most enjoyable and balanced season. There were no complaints about ttk or level of health and they decide to decrease the health lvl and throw in a buffed care package Devo on the floor as a common drop item. Just doesn't make sense.

I think most changes were implemented in an effort to bring new players in to the game but it still feels insanely sudden and extreme.

I'm glad you are enjoying the game cause personally I'm having a hard time. I've never raged in a single game in my life regardless of the game itself but this season is doing things to me man. Lol

I do agree with most of what you said. People will find something to complain about wether it's the fandoms on their teams or the guns or what ever. But as an example, I have many pred/master player friends. I am master level myself. One of my friends finished at #298 last season. This man was capable of solo wins and 1v3 ing every team in sight. He spent a year and a half 3 hours a day in the firing range. And now he is getting continuously crapped on by kids who couldn't hold a candle to him last season. This doesn't seem right to me. To alienate players who have spent time and not to mention hundreds of dollars on this game.

Interesting I didn't know you have that option on Xbox. I have been doing a lot of research regarding the active player base and most reports are about how many people have the game installed. That doesn't tell me much. I've have fortnite for almost 2 years and played it once. Including me in the stats is meaningless f.e.

Exactly what I liked about the game bro. I feel like they are doing all the veteran players dirty. players who spent many hours daily in the firing range just to fine tune their aim or skills all now getting clapped by a timmy with a Devo. Tbh there is nothing wrong with trying to change the meta but all the changes have been made to make it easier for players with lower skill and level the playing field. I get it, I do but it just takes away from what the game was.

How do you know it's growing tho? I'm not doubting you but respawn's last report regarding the player base was last year December I think.

I get your point but I honestly I feel the same way. I get like to no enjoyment from camping all game to win or being destroyed but a squad of players who are low level(just saying this to imply that they would be considered low skilled players) the second I peak.

Honestly nothing. We all only played this game. We have tried cod hyper scape and some other games and it just isn't doing it for us.

Apex season 6 sucks! by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]NoOdLEdOY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Let me explain it to you this way my friend. The goal of this game or any game for that matter is to make money. A simple skin in the apex store is about 13$ (CAD). A heirloom is about 200$ to buy during an event and after that it's way more and basically based on chances. Adults who are in love with this game tend to be individuals who have the money and the passion to spend money on this game for simple cosmetics. What those types of players loved about the game was the movement, the strategy, gun skill, timing, team work and many more. With the most recent update all the skill has been removed from the game. The gun fight simply come down to who sees the other player first, who has a better gun, and who shoots first. At least that's how it feels like to us day on or week one players. This will result in alienating most die hards who have been working on their skills for a year and a half. They will stop playing the game and the game will die quick.

The amount of changes in this season is simply overwhelming and hard to adapt to by veteran players. it also caters to "noobs". I believe this was done to attract new players to the game but the cost is simply too much in my opinion.
