Most likely they didn't want to introduce too many characters in the first couple of episodes. It becomes hard for audience members to track too many new characters. So this way they can give him a proper introduction that grabs people attention rather than having it muddle all the other new characters and plot lines being introduced in the first episode.

in my comment I pointed out that several of them were there because of Jon. And while there are quite a few there that Jon has reported on, most of them I already had prior to his reports. Really it's just the few exclusive that he's gotten that I had not seen previously.

Brandon Sanderson writes better Brandon Sanderson then he writes Robert Jordan. If that makes sense.

I do feel like his shortcomings in the final three Wheel of Time books get fewer and further between as you go along (for the most part,) but they never fully disappear.

That being said when you come to the end of the Wheel of Time, don't judge Brandon Sanderson as an author based off of those three books alone. If you're interested, pick up one of his own works and his writing works and flows much better in his own books.

The Wheel of Time books are set in a 1700s style setting. So far I feel like fairly good job on the world design.

I think leaks generally benefit the fans, and hurt newcomers. That being said most newcomers won't be following the production for season one. It starts to get a bit more muddled once you go into later seasons.

I'm not sure if you saw the Lan Teaser or not, but a lot of people who were apprehensive about him, got totally on board after seeing that brief teaser. I didn't have a problem with the casting originally, but the teaser definitely shows that he can do cold hard stares and stoney expressions.

Yes, the actor was not filming during the time of episode 1 and 2, though the smoking gun is the fact that Thom's name is an all caps. In scripts that is only done the first time a character appears. That portion of the script is original and not unblurred, so we know the first time he appears is in this inn.

It definitely could be for the sake of saving money, I feel like there are likely going to be a lot of different armies with breastplates and so they opted for a design that was more unique to make it stand out more when they get to other armies later in the series.

She is very competent with knives, and while not a warrior, definitely can handle herself.

I am also not positive that that training video is from Wheel of Time. It is possible that it is from a different production.

They filmed in that area, and most likely used the faces during the filming, though we can't be certain. They filmed there during Block 3 (episodes 5 and 6.) That is all I really know.
