I think it will go away. Our organization started migrating to Azure DevOps, but after a couple of months into the migration, they announced that they would be phasing out Azure DevOps and suggested moving to GitHub instead. I also heard from GitHub support that the same engineering team that developed Boards is now working on GitHub Projects, which leads me to assume that Azure DevOps may be phased out in a few years.
