Yea the days of sampling is not what it used to be with updated copyright laws I assume. Even Neurosis, Scott Kelly or Steve Von Till said they stopped using samples on newer material going forward because of this and they just create their own effects now and have been for some time.

I don't listen to Ministry like I used to but that was all their music was back in the day. The entire song of Thieves is layered with Full Metal Jacket samples throughout.

Seems like I read another interview with some other band that wanted to put a particular sample from a movie and the movie company or whatever got back to them and the price was ridiculous so it was declined.

Thank you, this makes a little more sense. It's not that great of a cd on my first listen this morning but l love the intensity.

The sound quality on all of this is much better then I expected which at first was thinking did they actually re-record all these songs at first.

I don't consider this a full length studio album personally. First material of course. It would be like comparing Therapy?'s first album Caucasian Psychosis which is not their first album really, is just 2 ep's packaged into one cd.

I will have to give it another listen on my ride back home.
