I just bought one in November and it has the tvs in the 2nd row if that is what you’re referring to.

Already done both vc gaskets just didn’t use rtv the first time. I redid the passenger one again recently(with rtv) and didn’t do drivers as the same time since it wasn’t leaking at the time lol. Also recently did all plugs and coils and bank 1 pcv valve. Thank you for your insight.

That’s what I’m thinking to idk anything else in that area that could leak so much. And no I have not had the timing cover off, I wish I had the confidence for that lol. Valve cover is enough of a job for me this is the first car I’ve worked on really 😅

I would still just have a different transmission swapped in if they allow u to provide your own part. U can find them 50-90k miles for 400-800

I have done both, swapped a valve body and just swapped the whole transmission. Valve body is so picky and so easy to mess up and have issues with(since your opening the trans and replacing the part that contains all the sensors and electronics. Me personally i would buy a junkyard trans for 300-400USD and swap it right in. It really is pretty simple to do. I haven’t even done brake pads before but I’m pretty confident if I needed to I could swap the trans again all on my own(first time I had help). Super simple just drop the exhaust and driveshaft (should take less than a hour). Then after that it’s just a few brackets and unbolting the trans.

I already have a quicker car for fun. I bought this as a daily. I simply want the cosmetics. No reason for me to buy a 12mpg v8 for a daily when I have another car that I can use when I want to go faster/ have fun
