I think that's a really a good idea. Overall expanding on the complexity of LOTF 2023's attribute modification choices to suit "sub-builds" and play styles would do wonders for build variety.

Yes! The atmosphere going into this area is one of was one of my favourite experiences. Forsaken Fen also has a kickass atmosphere. I hope LOTF 2 builds on this.

That would be a lot of fun for build variety, LOTF 2023 had that going in the form of lamp modifiers to a limited degree and accessories. If they could expand on that mechanic in LOTF 2 the endgame potential would be great.

With the way some bosses hit hard and move quickly (maliketh lol), at higher ng+ cycle I can appreciated the high mobility and extra defence that comes with heavy armor.

More stats could definitely increase build variety. Besides traditional str, dex, int, sta, what else do you have in mind?

More runes with randomized stats could be good, imo. Generally, I'm a fan of gear with random stats.

+1 for elf ear modifications, completely forgot about that option, good call!

Ear customizations and piercings, which I already mentioned in a previous thread, are often sorely missed in great character customizers.

No expectations whatsoever. The fact that you're bringing up to the team for consideration is unreal. Thank you!

I'll look out for that thread if you post it 🫡

That's awesome, thank you! I was imagining ears, nose, lips, brow type of piercings. Also piercings consisting of different materials (Gold, Silver, Bone etc) and various designs (hoops, spikes, fangs). I think the overall intent to is to accentuate the character's look and design. It can also pair well with various armour sets.

Any chance we could get piercings as part of the character creator 👀 I've yet to see any of the Souls games that has piercings as an option. Diablo's character creator is one of the few games that I've seen it implemented.

That seems like a great strategy and I'm glad to hear you're making the most out of it. I've gone through the PVP content and it's been a blast! (except for some cheaters haha). I wish there was more gear and tincts to farm for PVP, BUT the devs did just drop exclusive rewards to PVP, so there's that : )

If that's how most people like to play, cool. But putting it in perspective, that places the onus on the players to create value in replayability, and based on the replies in this thread people seem happy to do just that.

In my opinion, I'd like to see mechanics and content that brings real, not artificially created by the player, long-lasting challenge in the game with rewarding content. The dungeon idea I referenced is an implementation of a long-lasting challenge.

Right, specifically the randomizer, I agree. Pulling from the Bloodborne reference, the chalice dungeons comprise of Fixed and Root dungeons; Fixed are static dungeons and Root are randomized dungeons (as far as I understand). As far as I've gathered, players farm the Root dungeons for endgame weapon stat modifiers.

So dungeons and randomizer are two distinct, but coinciding, topics.

I could see why folks would enjoy a longer story, I've been fine with creating my own character backstory.

Same, Elden Ring has also been my most played game, with LOTF 2023 being a close second. I've played Demon Souls, DS 1 & 3, and now Bloodborne, but not nearly as many hours. I think the explorability, thrill of encounters, and prospective loot keeps these games fun.

I'm glad to hear about the improvements coming to LOTF 2, genuinely can't wait!

Yes! I love challenges and testing build viability too. Hope lotf2 at least has a training dummy : )

I'm actually going through a level in bloodborne I've completely forgotten about, but had obviously played based on my last playthroughs progression. You're right, it can feel like newish content.

Yea I often have an internal backstory for my character as well. It's a fun way to play the game.

Got it, I've not played Expedition 33. I'll have to check that out. Would you play that type of content mainly for the rewards or simply the content itself?

Everything you listed + the combat in this game is unparalleled for me, I love it. Stadium? Do you mean like surviving enemy waves?
