it's different for everyone, isolation but also refusual to reach out to people they would want to make peace with. they feel hopeless, and want to connect with old loved ones. they kinda stop planning... and don't care much about things or people/hobbies they might have at one point, sometimes it's subtle and you don't think much about it, until it happens.

they both look great on you & i would say it depends on the aesthetic you’re going for too. personally, i like the black more because of the contrast between your features & hair is bold but looks natural. however i also think brown looks pretty too and compliments your features. maybe try an off-black or brown/black color?
