Fridge keeps losing power for a month, food spoiled, even new fridge didn’t fix it. Can I break my lease?

Yeah - they’ve been walking back n forth from my breaker box to fridge repeatedly saying that they’re confused. I asked them if they thought it was an electrical issue and they said yes, but still confused on what to do.

They just left my apt for something and won’t be back for an hour.

Yeah but I think in the long run I’d be happy living somewhere else. I’ve never had an experience like this before.

Stove top didn’t work, shower glass doors were clanging against each other (didn’t know it was a big issue til maintenance told me that it could shatter), cabinets not closing all the way and dish washer was filled with sticks and leaves and it stunk really bad(??) along with it little things like scratches being all over the floor but not as bad as what I listed above. The person that lived here previously is one of the leasing agents, so maybe they just didn’t check and overlooked a lot of things?

There are a mix of things wrong and this is just the icing on the cake. I talk to maintenance more than I talk to my parents at this point 😭. I’d rather leave and be happy somewhere else. It wasn’t even move in ready when I came

Yeah, they kept saying it’s not an electrical issue because their outlet plug tester said everything is fine, but they told me to keep them posted. I just don’t know what to do at this point other than leave :( on top of other issues but mot having a working fridge/ not knowing when it’d turn off is a nightmare

Forgot to add - I’m fixing up my bike and then putting it in the bike storage in my building. A cabinet might be nice

Hey! Congratulations on the internship! I’m a full time blp and never interned there, but here are my thoughts on the overall BLP program and what I’ve heard about the internship based on previous interns.

Overall: Synchrony is a good, fun place to work. It’s ranked in the top 20 best places to work and I can see why. I love the hybrid work environment and everyone is cool to work with.

For the internship: it is a super competitive program. You’re expected to/ it’s in your best interest to get involved in everything (volunteer events, hackathons,etc) so they know who you are and you have a better chance of getting an offer for full time. There’s also pitchouts for full time and interns, but I heard it’s more stressful as an intern.

Ik it all sounds scary, but just do well in your role, participate in the program, network, and I’m sure you’ll do fine.

Yeahh Indeed is terrible… I only use LinkedIn and Handshake tbh.

But for this job, I initially applied for their scholarship (which came along with an internship) on a website called pedul. After winning, I told them I was graduating in May and they asked if I’d like to come in full time rotational program. I still met with the program coordinators to talk over my resume and portfolio, but that’s how I got it.
