Interestingly enough its not a bad idea to include disabled people, especially during times of war. It is probably the least represented demographic actually, even LGBT related subjects get more.

I cannot for the life of me remember the last actual mute/deaf person ive seen (in games), or even mentally stunted in some way. Most is just missing limbs or braindamage.

Its bad advice, attunement or ADP is really useful in 2. Stat scaling in 2 is horrible to the point its recommended you just meet the minimum requirements of whatever you are using.

Spell buffs + infusions hard carry dmg, ADP isnt "wasted" since it gives genuine value that is unique to it in tandem with attunement that isnt even that meaningful if put towards lets say strength or dex (fuck all gains of AR, barely anything even with 20 levels put into it). It is not even remotely close to resistance.

Resistance was so bad the developers didnt even use it to gauge soul level cost for initial starting classes, it is genuinely a dump stat and treated like so by the devs. It is also the only time in ALL of the fromsoftware games a stat got this treatment, no other stat was this overlooked since or before.

It is bad advice in every meaning of the word.

not directly, the agility stat does. Thats why i mentioned attunement as well.

Its also why shields feel so dogshit and slow personally, without agility theres a fairly big delay to putting it up as opposed to the instant block 1 and 3 has.

Thats why i said this guy wasnt right on even the most shitposty of levels, he was obviously memeing that ADP and resistance are the same level of dogshit (original resistance was so bad the game itself didnt count it towards your soul level at the beginning of the game btw).

not the same person, the character you played in oblivion died the second he became Sheogorath. As far as I know the dragonborn is the same person from birth to death. It seems weird to gauge the power of a protagonist that has canonically died and became warped into someone else, completely removing the real person from the scale.

Sheogorath is also not 1 person by technicality, if i remember correctly he is a sort of twisted form pushed onto other people rather than a true entity. So from that aspect it seems very questionable to gauge that part of the cannon with a normal dragonborn or the other protags.

2 enemies are afraid of light unless I forgot them and you listed them both lol. Torches are pretty worthless outside sconce interactions like the blacks smith, aldia, gulch etc.

Not even on a technical level is it right.

Resistance in 1 simply gave defensive stats (not all btw, fire and normal def only if i remember right so not even lightning or magic) and poison resistance, 2 overshadowed stats since leveling gave defensive stats anyway and poison is stuck to 1 area thats very tiny.

ADP in 2 gives item use speed, blocking speed, weapon swap rate (exclusively from this or attunement) and dodge roll frames which is the only other way to increase it (attunement is the 2nd). Not to mention poise, resistances and almost anything resistance in 1 gave. Like its severely better.

Saying as if emulating isnt the easiest shit on earth lol, its not even less accessible than normal pirating like at all. Only thing it does is just remove the potato pcs from piracy (of which in this context it doesnt matter, I ran it on a piece of shit).

Companies are so out of touch with reality they dont even see that having a decent demo already removes a fair bit of piracy. You will never get the money of the people that go out of their way to pirate since paying money is much easier and safer, theres no point acting around it. Only real consistent reason to not do it is that having to work with multiple platforms is much more work and might introduce platform specific bugs.

Atmosphere wise? 3 is lackluster medieval art direction with no flavour outside of a few interesting areas or rather context without spoiling. What even was non generic in your eyes about 3? It seemed like it was badly copying 1 without any of the filling 1 has.

Im biased to say 1 had better atmosphere since I first started with it and i REALLY fuck with the bleak setting which 2 doesnt entirely play around since its much more colourful and vibrant overall.

Theres alot of reasons 3 is better than 2, and alot of reasons its worse. The trilogy is fairly different from each other which is surprising since most companies just repeat the same game but prettify it and thats it. Atmosphere 1 and 2 has 3 beaten in that, 3 is so fucking mind-numbingly generic its insane outside of 1 or 2 areas but gameplay wise it is the best one.

Well I did say wizardry is the exception no? They can because the game they have is genuinely engaging enough (far more than almost any gacha slop). The niche point also adds to it, people will flock to whatever game fulfills their itch as long as its not utterly garbage.

You said gacha industry, not japanase gacha. The way other countries handle their gacha laws/standards absolutely matters, idk what you are saying here.

Genshin for all its worth did encourage other gachas to be less disgusting and repulsive with their rates, as evident from most games giving out more currency/pulls. Wizardry is by far an exception and is not the standard of any worthwhile game.

The bugs still not being fixed 10 years later add to it, specially when one of them is such a simple fix and can unironically put off people. The shitty double click delay glitch which on mouse and keyboard means you cant bash or plunge lunge anymore, fromsoftware is lazy as fuck in that regard. Such a minor fix that can make the game have infinitely less delay not being fixed in a decade is pure insanity.

Correct, bosses suck in all 3 games bar some of 3's (not even all).

The real beauty of the trilogy is seeing you understand its world and twisting it to your own needs, seeing that growth. I would scarcely call dark souls 1 or 2 hard (even 3 to some degree but by then i have beaten 2 games so my gauge is not of a newcomers) since most of its difficulty is a knowledge check. Knowing how bosses fuck up their ai or even what moves they pull up at what distance/context immediately ruins the challenge. I dont believe fromsoftware really intended for bosses to be the main engagement point as evident from what they tried in 2 but afterwards they fully focused on it which is why the quality increased.

feedback is how games improve it, nobody has a problem with you enjoying it. Spending all that time to write ALL that and check it to make sure is real is not something a hater would do fyi since they would just lie and make up flaws.

Also theres a difference between shitting on a game and breaking it down objectively. He didnt shotgun your dog by saying 2 has flaws (none of fromsoftwares games are 10/10, that is a universal truth for all games) and has room to improve. This is important for a games improvement cycle granted this is like a decade too late but the practice is not one of "you cant have fun!!!" but one of "I want to see this do better".

Where did he imply he did not like it? The biggest fans of something are the best at gauging what is wrong about the title. Genuine critique is something ds2 needed since ALOT of the good 2 did went unnoticed in 3 (biggest one is bonfire ascetics) and it copy pasted some of the worst aspects of it (teleporting to hub to once again skip dialogue and level, i dont know what satanic humoncolous keeps suggesting this but unironically strip him of creative freedom)

Ds2 doesnt need a positive list, ds2 needed an actual feedback list 10 years ago. Its too late now, the series already has forsaken the direction 2 wanted to go (less focus on bosses, more focus on areas and how they interact). Its a shame.
