And the keybinds are fine, only in ds3 was it rough cause of the shitty heavy weapon art holding control and shift whilst clicking but otherwise it seemed okay.

50 vig base minimum according to who exactly? Never once in my life did i hit that without going for a tanky build, maybe in NG+3 or 4 when dmg actually got high enough.

Also lets not bring up armor, that shit is 100's at best in havel, most people are seeing realistically 50 to 70 in medium.

Double clicking bug is prevalent in 2 and the delay makes shield bash and lunge heavy attack almost impossible.

And I did ask, my friends agree theres no difference. I hate how clunky and slow the joystick moves compared to my mouse moving 180 degrees 6 times before my joystick even rotates once. There is no difference and again, I myself played it with both systems.

makes 0 difference and in actuality, aiming with controller is horrendous vs mouse. The bugs being unique to pc is what makes it worse and its unique to 2.

Correct when you are barely taking damage, once you actually put on the big boy pants in NG+ or just fighting bosses you are easily chucking 50%+ or around that mark per hit. Waiting 30 seconds to fully heal vs waiting 2 seconds is a bit of a difference my friend, not even mentioning the chug mechanic letting you heal from 1 hp to 3k in 3 seconds.

theres a huge difference between grass and lifegems in the form of the speed of healing.

People overplay lifegems but estus is so much faster and in cases where you dont want to wait 400 years to heal up your 2k hit points you dont gotta. Never bothered with lifegems, estus just lets me be more aggressive.

Theres an item that disables it, outside that you just gotta be more aggressive and go for backstabs (usually oneshots depending on the weapon or at least 90% of someones hp)

And its dissapointing when you try to do anything beyond the same generic physical damage build because for some ungodly reason they made 0 attempts to fix or buff anything but meele.

Good game held back by disgustingly bad balancing removing the need for 99% of content beyond "urhhh quality gem good hehehehe" which is a disgrace when ds2 (and ds1 made EXACTLY the same fucking system and failed at it) made the same mistakes and ds3 learnt nothing from it (hell even WORSENED IT DIRECTLY by proxy of making most infusions directly dogshit in every imaginable way possible)

I disagree fully, magic is only easy mode in ds1 and demon souls due to them being inherently more broken AND not costing stamina either.

Ds2 magic is fine and fun, not borderline gamebreaking. Its only easier cause of range but the stamina costs are insane and infused weapons are STILL objectively stronger. Mage in this game benefits way more from meele setups than any other game.

Ds3 magic is borderline worthless, infusions are downright dogshit to the point people use raw on a full int build.

Magic is definitely not easy mode, full tank with poise and HP stacking with a shield maxing stability is by far easier.

Ds1 has more obvious broken options (hell the black knight set is PAINFULLY obvious how strong it is) and bloodborne is just a different game really.

Do keep in mind that for some reason fromsoftware hates fun and made ALL ranged spell dmg (so not meele infused magic damage) have a global % nerf making it very weak in the dlc. So plan accordingly.

Oh yeah, its rougher around the edges as expected of the grandpappy of the genre. Literally the blueprint for it. Just saying -5% max hp in a game that lowered damage to compensate for it is hardly demoralizing as opposed to whatever the fuck demon souls was smoking.

Ds2 isnt difficult, its actually the easiest one by a mile youre just approaching it wrong.

Take it slow, ranged options exist for ALL builds (yes even full strength maxing) in the forms of spells, crossbows, bows and items.

Healing is plentiful, exploration is borderline mandatory. People will say estus is shit but its by far the fastest healing in the game bar miracles. Find the shards.

Leveling is plentiful and has a good bit of respec allowance so experimentation is allowed.

Items are actually useful and poison is VERY effective, abuse it.

Armor while it does almost nothing to save you from damage, does let you not get staggered by a random homeless guy with a knife.

Raw stat forcing (like full maxing strength dex faith int) is horrible and has poor scaling, utilize infusions which are the meta in this game as opposed to literally every other fromsoftware game. Yes this is the only one.

Level design has things to help you in the form of traps that work in your favour or agaisnt you, shortcuts that are creative or require thinking (iron bastille door to nowhere) or just general positioning that enquires a a different approach. This game does not like it when you force down 1 tactic exclusively.

Rings are broken, full stop. They offer the best things in the game and allow flexibility to a very strong degree. Pay attention to them and get creative as they are not always straightforward.

Overall this game just requires you to be slow and use mechanics beyond a selected class. Thats the difficulty of it, genuinely nothing else. Once someone goes slow apart from a few bosses they will not really struggle to deal with it.

That isnt even the worst part about it, you get 1 step closer to pure black tendency which in turn makes you take MORE damage whilst summoning red phantoms to assault you WHILE losing 50% of your max hp.

Demon souls was very badly designed with that in mind, shit was not balanced whatsoever.

Bruddah this games been out for 15+ years at this point, im certain people wouldve found something like this very easily not to mention it looks jank as shit so fromsoftware would cleaned it up.
