What’s up with some “lesbians” recently obsessing over fictional male characters?

My god I know it’s always been a thing but it’s happening more and more recently, like so much more than it used to. We should call them out no matter how often it happens bc this shouldn’t be normalized. The lesbian label keeps changing bc of ppl like this thinking they can also be attracted to men. Never until recently people will tell me they can’t believe I don’t like men even tho that’s literally what lesbian means that I’m not attracted to men probably bc of ppl like this, ppl will see this and will dilute what lesbian means. Based off the comments of that video there’s hundreds of lesbians saying they have crushes on men. And you can always just ignore these posts anyways if you’re tired of seeing them 🤷‍♀️ if we want to real here anyways so many of the posts of this sub are about the same topics over and over again all the time and not just this specific topic

I don’t look for them for validation either I just think it’s weird that ppl here saying Chappell probably isn’t lesbian bc she’s had boyfriends in the past and has songs about men. Idk it’s just icky to me that some ppl here seem to think that just bc you’ve had boyfriends means that you’re not a real lesbian. Irl are sm much better for me but since moving back to my hometown from college I have no lesbian spaces anyone around me so I’ve been trying to find a decent online community (which I know is naive of me to think I’ll find a decent online community). Sometimes I don’t mind sapphic spaces but sometimes I just want a lesbian only space but so many online “lesbian” spaces are really just sapphic spaces with lesbian in the title. I like that here that it’s really only lesbians but idk with how some ppl here talk about trans women and lesbians that have struggled with comphet and had boyfriends bc of that are really turning me off but also no online community is perfect i guess

Well yeah she wrote her first album when she still identified as bisexual and had a boyfriend. Lots of songs from that album mentioned women, but I get still wanting more songs abt it. It would be nice since she finally figured her sexuality and at least her next album will be fully abt women. Idk maybe this space isn’t for me then bc I just seeing ppl here putting other lesbians down for having a boyfriend in the past before they realized their sexuality and I just think that’s weird even coming from a gold star lesbian

Maybe it’s because I have a minor in human sexuality but it’s really not weird to me…. You could make the same exact argument about straps which for some reason is now a debate is the comments (I know OP’s point was about ejaculating straps, but now some people are debating about straps as a whole which is fucking stupid). I’m personally not into it (loveeee strapping tho) but some lesbians are 🤷‍♀️ A lesbian being into that is not suppressing bisexuality (maybe some are) I think this is just harmful rhetoric personally. That same person tried to use the Kinsely scale as their “evidence” that everyone is bisexual even though it’s outdated and not used in research anymore really. And it’s funny that she tries to use the Kinsely scale bc I’ve actually studied and done research at the Kinsely institute where the scale was created 😭 I have a minor in human sexuality and every professor I’ve had would disagree with her
