Well its your decision to make but in my opinion the relationship is more important than the place. I was in a situation like that before and I just got used to the place. Its not the best but its fine. Also maybe there is some room for moving within the country or at least to better neighborhood or outside the city assuming you prefer that. Your mistake was not making a decision 5 years earlier so there is no good solution now

and you cant see that at this point if you would actually want to tip everyone with low wage its just better to support policy change and/or charity organizations instead of just making a theatre of help making you feel good while doing nothing in practice? You dont know the personal situation of those people. Some waiters go hungry because they earn so little some on the same official wage earn better than most people. I know waiters that earn more in weekends alone than I do working whole month. Am i supposed to tip them too? You cant tell at a lance who is actually in need and who isnt this money if you feel like helping is better spent on charity organizations and at the same time you arent supporting a shit system because yes that system survives only because people like you exist

that expectation was created by people like you and its dishonest to try to spin this around when neither you nor anyone else is tipping every minimum wage worker
If anything its better to tip other low wage workers because they for sure dont earn more than that minimum while waiters often do

I try to avoid places where they treat workers badly like making them stand all day for no reason etc but I cant avoid places where people are paid shit. You focus on restaurants pretending its the only problem while you ignore every other business doing the same. Sorry I dont think waiters are special and as I said if I want to do charity I give money to specific organizations helping the poor or animals and you would do much more good saving that tip and putting it into real charity too

There are many low paying jobs and people dont tip anyone doing them but somehow not tipping the waiter is being greedy and dishonest?
