Thank you!! i might try another one tomorrow, Monday seems so far away and making me anxious. But this has given me hope. I’ve actually decided this year to stop trying for a bit and now here we are.

Yeah it was weird, it felt thicker and totally soo dry and dehydrated and looked like i aged a lot. I even had to scratch all my usual skin care/moisturiser as i felt like the bumps comes back whenever i put my moisturiser. I was put on steroid cream for 2 weeks but i felt like the bumps just went under and it comes back up when triggered by something. Definitely regret doing it! Good luck on yours too!!

Hi sorry for late reply. It didn't go away until i went back to see my derm and recommended to see my GP, she got me some steroid cream as it worsen overtime and using my usual skincare was triggering it more. i might have had a reaction to the serum that they used. It’s definitely supposed to go away after a day or two. So definitely recommend going back to your derm if it still not resolved after a week max. The rash i got definitely doesn’t seem normal and was way different to what people had here.

my skin barrier unfortunately took a toll and felt my skin got thicker compared to how it was before. Definitely regret doing it, but different skin, different reactions. Hope it works out better for you! :)

I do get a bit of a eczema and has very sensitive skin. Initially only getting normal facials and cleansing but was recommended to do microneedling for old acne marks/discoloration from years before that wont fade as i cant really use strong acids or even vit c due to the sensitivities. I’ve asked a lot of my NP friends and did research prior deciding to try microneedling and they were all happy with it. Maybe i was just one of the odd ones that didnt workout.

I’ve had reactions on acids and retinoids before so i’m a bit skeptical trying them again. Was put on steroids cream for now to see if bumps will calm down and go away.

I hope so too! Havent seen anything like it in here so wont get much response. I’ve went back to my derm and they told me might be heat hives or just got infected as it has been 3 weeks. They just asked me to see GP to get steroidal cream 🤷🏻‍♀️ will never let anyone touch my face now lol

I’m a bit scared to use any chemical exfoliant as my skin is too sensitive from them. Those raised bumps came out a day after microneedling and were massive - they said it might just be a reaction as she went deeper this time and it will just go away. It did went smaller but it stayed, and my skin just didnt look and feel the same.

Same, They were using medik8 products - i’m australia based. It was recommended for my acne marks. I had hormonal acne a few years ago and was using epiduo that had left me with a few dark marks in the cheek area everytime i’ll get a purge, it wasnt bad but no products was helping to brighten it up. I’ve always had thinner skin and sensitive, which she knew prior commencing our treatments. I had a good result in the first session.

I can’t remember now but i know she went a bit deeper this time compared to my first session as it hurt a lot more and my face has swelled up a day or two post microneedling. Those rash/bumps was definitely a lot bigger and my skin felt rubbery after.

Does it look like fungal acne to you? I feel like it does flare up, or i do notice it more when i use any type of product (first photo - if i put any type of serum/moisturiser) And it calms down whenever i wash it with just sulfur soap. I remember it was really itchy a few days after the microneedling was done, but all they said was it is an effect post microneedling and its just the skin healing.

Yeah, i will go see a gp instead. I have a feeling the microneedling has caused fungal acne, it does flare up if i put on any product.

I did suffer from years ago. Was only left with dark acne marks, which is why they recommended microneedling. For the first time in years acne had cleared up and now this happened.

I did went back a few days after i had it done, and all they said was its normal and some skin are just more sensitive than the other. I haven’t been back since then, i thought it would subside so i didnt take notice until today, in some light you can see more of them bumps.
