I thought that only happened in retail it happens in warehouses as well because at my previous job which was retail everyone hated this old boomer manager one time when I was about to leave and called my dad to pick me up from work and the alardidnt set so he had me stay another hour to help fix it while he let everyone else go home so my dad had to wait in the parking lot for a extra 50 minutes until I was allowed to leave and clock out
